I've viewed the end of round 9 at least six or seven times. I can't stop watching it. It was a beautiful right hook, left hook combo that rattled Fury's brain. He was all over the ring. The defintion of getting your bell rung. Fury is lucky Usyk landed that combo with only 27 seconds left. Because he was saved by the bell. Fury had nothing left. He was completely done.
I enjoyed it and have had it on loop all day. It was a work of art and a thing of beauty. I have also been drinking the salty tears of Fury nuthuggers all evening.
Once. Rounds like that give me vertigo. I'll queue the whole thing after dinner though and so see it again.
I stopped to count them...maybe around 50 times from the moment Usyk lands that magnificent right-left that throws Fury on the ropes .
I dare watch it. Very nearly stopped. Would have been better if he took a knee when the shot landed but the senses are too far removed to do that. Fury punch resistance will only get worse it can't get better. Having to slim down and being so out of shape last year despite knowing he was going to fight Usyk is coming back to bite. He shouldn't have got out of shape after the Chisora bout but he did.
4 times including live. I was hyped and super elevated when watching live, but after that couldn't help but feel bad for Fury as this clearly looks like it will have long term consequences. Hope Fury makes a full recovery and has his mental faculties about him and everything. He should retire and enjoy his family and wealth. So should Usyk.
Well it was a great Ring Entrance. However, for the first time ever in a Tyson Fury fight, I felt that his opponent's Ring Entrance was EVEN BETTER. Right there, the boxing gods were signalling how the rest of the night was going to unfold.
Watched the whole fight on You Tube last night, it was both money saving and a good fight for the undisputed champion Usyk, especially in the 9th round when the knockdown was scored by Usyk after biding his time against the now former champion who chose to just clown around. As in Gary Lewis and The Playboys 1965 classic, Everybody Loves A Clown.
20+ already. Fight was over back then. Usyk won by a KO. Another paid job for Fury to get a long count and get saved by the referee. And then they clearly had all of the judges, bar one paid as well. The 2 judges that have it 114-113 and reverse should be banned for life.
