So after re watching a couple of times today i carn't for the life of me understand why he didnt tell John Fury to shut the **** up. He is the trainer and multiple times in the corner all i could hear was John wittering on. I think the corner advice cost Fury if Sugar told that ****er to **** off after round 9 Fury could have taken round 10 off to regain his senses as he did, and the Sugar should have been telling him he needed to stick it on Usyk and win 11 and 12 if that was the case he maybe would have listened and change it up. Hindsight is wonderful but what the **** was that corner advise from Andy Lee ( who i highly rate ) and JF telling him he had it in the bag he just needed to stay on his feet. Props to Usyk he is a bad bad man who would live in any era but i cannot help but think Fury winning 4 5 6 and 7 so dominantly and hurting Usyk he took 8 off then 9 was banjo'd rope to rope and punched all around the ring. I just think Sugar is going to be the fall guy and it was all because JF was in the corner. If this fight was in Vagas i think Fury would probably have won as his dad would be nowhere near. When will fighters learn Dads should be nowhere near corners.
Interesting post mate and I genuinely think the only reason that SH did not speak up was because if he did, most likely the moron that is the Dad could have kicked off massively and then it would have been seriously detrimental for his boxer Fury. With only a minute in between rounds to guide your boxer, that time would have been gobbled up the scummy Dad screaming blue murder and all sorts, it would have been a shambles. If ever Fury was going to distance himself from his old man, it would need to be immediately if he going to carry on boxing. Bloke is an absolute liability.
It was embarrassing. He was talking over and undermining Steward. "Go on Tyson, beat him up, jab jab right hand!" Man STFU. It was definitely detrimental to Fury's efforts.
John Fury barking all night like an old demented dog. The clown added nothing apart from confusion and he should shoulder some of the blame for the defeat. It would be a good thing for Tyson if he tells his dad to stay as far away as possible from any future fight camps.
Agreed. I said in one of the other threads last night that Hill will definitely be pushing for the next fight to be stateside where John cannot attend and Tommy Fury should do the same when his next reality tv fight takes place. I don’t get the impression at all for a second that Warren, Fury, his family or Hill would have the balls or ruthlessness to say that to him though. They should just strategically manage him out the way by doing camps and fights in America.
He needs to ditch his dad and brothers from his inner boxing circle. Let them sit in the crowd like everyone else’s family does. His dad shouting over his trainer & his brothers desperately trying to get on camera during the ring walks. I’ve seen more of John & Shane than I have of Tyson this week.
Regarding Sugar Hill not having the backbone to say anything as some have mentioned, I have my doubts. Guy grew up in the Kronk gym and will have definitely had to deal with his fair share of genuinely terrifying people over the years, I think he can probably tell the difference between a loudmouth bully like John and someone who you genuinely have to be careful what you say to.
John Fury needs to stay away from the corner and, at most, sit ringside. I can't recall if he's done this in other big fights or with Fury's other trainers like when Ben Davison was in the corner.
Every fight Fury had with Davison was in America so John couldn’t go. He did hammer Ben during live coverage once though.
The issue here is that John's self inflated ego is now massively out of control. He only sees one point of view, his own, to the detriment of all around him. The bloke needs a few home truths rammed back at him, just to knock some much needed reality back into him. I don't think he even knows what he says anymore, he just opens his mouth and an assortment of re-hashed garbled words spew out. Like others have alluded towards, TF needs to kick his rent-a-gob father into touch. Quite frankly, J Fury has this past week even managed to surpass his own usual high standards of obnoxious dimwitted aggressive buffoonery. As the song goes... "Time to go, time to go, time to go time to go time to go..."
Tbh I don't remember anyone in that corner asking him why he suddenly stopped using the jab which was making the night very tough for usyk. Use the jab Tyson keep the range. That's what they should have been telling him. Oh and put your gloves up you twat hahaha.
Easy to forget now but in the first Wilder fight Tyson had Davison leading, Freddie Roach on cuts and Ricky Hatton on the bucket - and Roach wasn't shy in saying he disagreed with some of the instructions later. Maybe Tyson likes it that way, he was more critical of the advice (telling him he was ahead going into the last) than who delivered it?
oh def. i dont think it's fear. but suge gets kicked out if he moans too much and he and lee are probably getting kicked out og the camp. andy lee with parker is an outstanding example of how productive and inciteful someone can be when the boss isnt standing on top of you looking for results.
