I actually want to make a slight correction on the rounds. After rewatching again very clearly and with no commentators. Round 3 was pretty even round. But Round 4 was Usyk round. So at best you can swap Round 3 and 4, and that is still Dominant win for Usyk. So the idea that Fury won 3 consecutive rounds is gone. It's looks like this: Round 1 - Clear Usyk = 10 - 9 Round 2 - Clear Usyk = 20 - 18 Round 3 - Close for both, so Even = 30-28 Round 4 - Clear Usyk = 40 - 37 Round 5 - Clear Fury = 49 - 47 Round 6- Clear Fury = 58 - 57 Round 7 - Clear Usyk = 68 - 66 Round 8 - Clear Usyk = 78 - 75 Round 9 - Clear Usyk = 88 - 83(KD) Round 10 - Clear Usyk = 98 - 92 Round 11 - Clear Usyk = 108 - 101 Round 12 - Clear Usyk = 118 - 110 Final 118 - 110 So this should be the right score for the fight. At the very best you can give Fury Round 3, and that will make it 117-110.
No they weren't. Go rewatch the fight. You are missing Usyk best work, which was to the body. How are people scoring Fury body shots as scoring shots and round winning, but ignoring Usyk? Round 2, 7 and 12 was not close at all. Usyk scored clear straight left hand to the head, clearly hurt Usyk in the 2 round, and scored more total punches + more power shots. Round 7 was beginning of the end, and this was clear, clear round for Usyk. I don't know on what margin you are saying this was close round. Round 12 was clear Usyk round as well, as he score plenty of Left to the head + right hook. Fury best shots was right hook, and that's it. He didn't land anything good in that round. Block the Audio from biased commentators and comes again.
Want to add something too. Boxing is scored on who land the hard, clean punches. Also there is a criteria called Ring generalship + effective Aggression. And Usyk was clearly the effective aggressor + he clearly earn points for Ring Generalship, as Fury was drown and decide to fight Usyk fight. So based on Boxing, Round 3 that was the only real close round should also be Usyk one, which turn this fight into a complete shutout. Also watch the fight, and not listen to biased UK/USA commentators which all of them picked Fury and was biased. Fury was also missing awful a lot and a lot of his body work, was actually low blow work. The cut on Usyk right eye, comes after Fury headbutt him, the imbecile referee wait 1 round before calling it, and then calling it to be caused by punch. This just tells you that he was a brought actor. Based on absolutely every single boxing criteria Usyk won CLEARLY Rounds - 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. Round 3 even at best, but should be Usyk based on that he was the effective aggressor and was leading the fight. And Fury won exactly 2 rounds, 4 and 5.
I think the actual turning point was round 8, though. Usyk seemed to break Fury’s nose; it started to bleed badly, and the fat blob kept picking at it.
It's not weak, its one of the best era in HW history. People just don't want to give credit, where credits its due. This era has it all, and it's one of the most competitive in history.
100% agree with you rewached it aswell, comentary was baised aswell i was watching on dazn. Agree about headbut cut that ref said in next round after that it was from punch. Liked how comentators tried the same with Sanchez telling something diferent than what is happening in fight they stoped around 4th round…
I want to see it regardless of the outcome of the rematch just like everyone still want to see AJ vs Wilder. Similar in that regards.
Yeah exactly. What the hell was they watching in the Sanchez fight. He was on the backfoot and Kabayel was literally dominated him. They are just cheering for the bigger name, and the guy that is "supposed" to win. Paid actors as i want to call them. Their job was to make the fight to look more competitive than it is. Remove the audio from the *******s, and this was a clear shut out.
It wasn't. Rewatch the fight again. Fury blown up his gas tank in the 6th round, when he unloaded tons of punches, most blocked by Usyk gloves. He landed 2 good uppercut and that's was it. This was exactly the same situation with the second AJ fight. Where the commentators was mad biased when AJ had a good round, landing some big body punches, but Usyk blocked most of the rest, but the commentators hyped the thing, and were beyond biased. Round 7 Usyk comes fast out of the block against Fury, and turn the fight. Round 7 change the fight, but Fury was done after Round 6, were he failed to do any real damage to Usyk, and blown his gass tank. Round 8 and 9 was just finishing what Usyk started in the 7th. Also some people are truly blind giving Fury round 7, where Usyk dominates that round. There is exactly 0% Fury done anything in that round. He was dominated. Clear Usyk round, and the beginning of the end for Fury.
