I know it may not even happen, and many will think usyk just has his number, but what adjustments if any can fury make to change the result in second fight?

Its clear he cant try to back foot it against Usyk over 12 rnds, usyks relentlesness, angles and work rate is too much and tyson cant keep that up at a high enough workrate for 12 rnds.

I think hed be better off getting on top of Uysk roughing him up, foul even were he can get away with it push him back try to stop thjat momentum he builds up. Thought he do that this fight. Dont even think that would be enough, but give him a better chance imo.

Is there any way Tyson can beat the great ukrainian? What adjustments need to be made if so?

I'd be more confident for Fury going into a rematch than I was for AJ during his.
I thought Usyk would out class Fury and make him look silly, but Fury grew into the fight and did much better than I thought he would. Usyk had to dig deep in the 9th and put his foot on the gas. I'd back Usyk if they fight again, but Fury has a good chance to get his revenge.

His best chance his to make it a bore fest for 12 but that's still difficult against usyk with his ring generalship and ring iq over 12.
He can't keep with usyk going hard for 12, he won't get him out of there before running out of steam himself, so his best chance is a bore fest which again is still difficult with usyk constantly working stuff out.
Crazy ring iq and adapts to in-ring situations very well once he works things through his very expansive boxing brain, you have to adapt with him constantly and try to keep him off you and dictate pace as long as possible.

    Easier said than done though.

He was having a lot of success early on with the uppercut, he would need to be more authoritative with his jab and 1-2 with uppercuts thrown in.

I agree with this. Needs to get back to the jab and those hurtful body shots he was throwing mid rounds. Not a foregone conclusion that Usyk beats him again when there is that size difference involved.

Usyk worked out the left to the body though about round 7. He started landed the right jab before Fury got it off

He needed to because he was getting dominated for a couple of rounds on the outside and hurt to the body. He has the great ability to adapt mid fight like great champions do.

Keep behind his jab, double and triple it up, work the body more and look for the uppercut. He needs to cut out the showboating and focus on what will actually win him rounds.

Usyk too skilled at too many different things for a set gameplan to work on him. You box on the backfoot....his pressure tires you out. You fight on the frontfoot....his movement tires you out and counters/combinations hurt you.

Usyks footworks the difference. Furys is also very good the difference is the lateral movement. Usyk can go any which way coming in. It makes him able to stalk you more than being a textbook pressure fighter. Fury can deal with a pressure fighter.....not as easy against what usyk does tho.

Fury didnt do too badly but for the rematch his gameplan would probably be more of the same. Basically because its hard to do anything else with usyk. Put it on him early...he,ll make you pay for it. Sit back and let him stalk you....it depletes you too much later in the fight.

Your pretty much stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Tbh tho i actually thought fury was about to backfire it on usyk at one point. The big freak of nature somehow wasnt getting tired after usyks stalking and was starting to turn it on usyk. Only for usyk to find the punches at the right time...to turn it back in his favour. I still think them punches came through fury being made to work every minute in there by what usyk does. But its a bit of a dilemna for the next gameplan.

Fury cant really do much else than he did on saturday.....just to be better/fitter/stronger etc at it the only other gameplan is not to fall into the trap usyk sets of getting you working too hard from too early.

How do you stop that tho is anyones guess.

Go out and try hurt usyk from early. The problem is their smart enough to know he,ll still be there right in your face stalking you right after you,ve threw your best shots. Its a massive pyhscological edge he has over you that stops you from trying it.

Get completely rid of John Fury from camp and corner, put on at least another 7Ibs, lean on Usyk as much as possible, stand his ground targeting Usyk's body every time he throws and get more uppercuts thrown.

The above may not be enough to result in a win but will give him a much better chance.

We've never seen what Fury is like after a defeat until now so I don't really know if he'll mentally recover from this. He's no longer able to call the shots, he's ageing faster than the others so he hasn't got time to mess around now like he thought he could in the past. If they were to meet again, by the time it happened I think Fury wouldn't have enough left to get the job done, Saturday was his big chance, I just think Usyk has more grit about him, more focus and mental strength that Fury can only dream of, talent will only get you so far.

Didnt think he could box with Usyk in 2024 but he looked the boss for several rounds. Maybe he could try and force a tear up but i think the mercurial ukrainian is an ever evolving puzzle that may well be impossible to solve

    1. Get rid of John Fury
    2. Bring in Peter Fury
    3. Dedicate the next few months to recover and tick over work, ice baths, oxygen chamber etc
    4. Put on some manageable weight
    5. Mental focus exercises.
    6. Have a good camp
    7. Listen to his corner (1 voice) during the fight..

Don’t think he’ll fight Usyk but if he does he has a good chance of winning if he stays focused and isn’t drowned by the antics of John Fury’s presence… in April I wrote a long post on the plane to Dubai about how Fury would lose because of John, even in the Ngannou fight John was giving him advice in the ring and breaking his focus… I didn’t post it because… Well I didn’t post it.. But I strongly believe and have for a while that Johns presence in camp and during fight week is detrimental to Fury.. Zaps to much energy from him

Fury turned up in the best shape he could and was mostly switched on, yet Usyk still got to him after 7 rounds and bounced him around the ring like a ping pong ball

it’ll happen quicker next time now the surprise factor has gone. Fury’s skills are just inferior to Usyk’s, like AJ’s were.
