He was great.

 

He was better than people give him credit for. If you watch him fight there are a lot of little things that he does that maximize his effectiveness. But some folks seem to pretend that he stumbled and flew into the heavyweight crown by accident

 

It is easy to look good when you are fighting old men, mafia controlled fighters and tomato cans.

Not listed as he was one of the worst heavyweight titleholders ever, if not the worst ever. He could apply for a position of the 'worst heavyweight champion ever'. Look at his record and look at HOW he won. That's enough if you have an Iq over 75 to recognize it.

 

Very true. Fans mix feelings with facts. I always liked Marciano as a person, but his record shows that he was an overrated old ,small, shot man beater. Mention him along the real all time greats and you should have a brain examination.

 

Don't pay much attention to what ex fighters say about each other. They always try to please the public.
