With regards your ongoing spat with @mcvey, although as a poster, despite being very knowledge, he leaves me somewhat cold, in this instance he is correct the onus is on you to prove your point/assertion, I have no skin in this fight, but what is right is right, that said everyone's entitled to their own thoughts and opinions, and hopefully keep there dialogue polite and respectful, as he has done.

If they provide verified sources we accept them,in the case of Liston there are plenty of primary sources.George Foreman. Marty Marshall,.Muhammad Ali,Floyd Patterson,and Chuck Wepner,have all been accurately quoted on this forum,testifying to his power.

All you did was throw out a load of names without any provenance to back them up.
As such they are worthless.

Yes because you like it, if those guys said something negative about Liston or good about Marciano you'll find a way to prove that they're not valid.

I know what you will probably say. Ali claimed Rocky Marciano hit him harder in that movie fight they did that anybody else. Which of course Ali never said but Marciano fanboys will lie and claim they did. You will claim Archie Moore said Marcinao him the hardest, But in reality Archie Moore never said this and even if he did Moore was a natural 160 pounder.

The funny thing about Marciano is even as a 180 pound fighter Marciano was overrated. When the best fighters you beat were pushing 40, broken down, mafia controlled fighters or tomato cans you can't rate that fighter highly. But then you add in the fact that his fanbase can't grasp that there are weight classes for a reason. You can be a 190 found who is over 6'1 tall and move up to heavyweight and have success if you are really fast, really skilled and hard to hit. But there is no way a 5'10 180 pound guy who whole gameplan is to press forward is going to move up to modern heavyweight and beat the top level guys be it Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Riddick Bowe etc.

If Marciano's biased fanbase just said they liked Marciano as a person and left if at that it would be okay. But to see these people fawn over this guy and keep saying he is a ATG great at heavyweight when he wasn't a heavyweight and never beat a modern sized heavyweights is just so annoying. The only fanbase that is as annoying as Marciano fanbase are Mike Tyson, Usyk, Floyd Mayweather and Tyson Fury fanboys.

What about Liston fanbase?
They're 10 times worse than Marciano's fanbase and yet everybody hates Marciano even knowing his record is better.

If someone said something good about Marciano, he didn't but if someone said good about Liston he did which is just bs...and yeah I'm talking about you.

These are quotes I have made on this forum,If you are sufficiently interested in the truth,which I find highly doubtful,you can easily find the posts in which I made those statements.
