“As far as the IBF rules go, any reigning champion is going to be able to ask for an exception,” Daryl Peoples for Boxing Social

If Usyk loses, then it will be a trillogy

If Fury wins trillogy then he will be given an exception

Then he will fight Anthony Joshua

Yes it's right, because anything Usyk-Fury related will forever and always far more important than anything Hrgovic related. It is what it is.

I dont know how I feel about it. To deny a challanger 4 times his title shot.

I am Croatian, I have bias, but man Boxing cant just be AJ-Fury-Usyk, God help us if Wilder wins against Zhang.

Neither Hrgovic or Kabayel or Bakole, what will they do?

I guess it depends upon your view of the situation. Yes he's mandatory and so deserves a shot under the IBF rules but under those very same rules the IBF can allow exceptions to take place.

Reality is this was always the likely outcome. Usyk/Fury 2 is a rematch fans want to see and they are contractually obligated to make the fight happen so there's no getting around that. I don't see Hrgovic picking up a discarded belt being much of an accomplishment.

But I do think if Fury wins the trilogy he should fight his mandatory in Hrgovic and they should not let Joshua jump the queue. But if Hrgovic beats Dubois and Fury beats Usyk in October they have said it will be Joshua/Hrgovic in Sept and in that case the winner of that fight fights Fury.

So Hrgovic just has to beat Dubois and Joshua and once he does that he gets his shot in 2025.

Yeah, I know it sucks, especially for fans of theirs. But at the end of the day, this is a business and money talks. None of those three guys are huge money makers either. The best solution is, have Bakole fight Agit, and whoever wins between those two, takes on Filip. Then hopefully the Usyk-Fury saga will be over by then, then in all likelihood, Usyk will take on the winner some time in early 2025.

I don't understand. Does it mean they will not strip Usyk of IBF title?

Now with undisputed it effectively is like having one belt.

Hrgovic should beat more Top 10 contenders to get a title shot.

You nailed it  also it’s not like Hrgovic has kept himself remotely busy looking to cement his position and force it . Hearn was allowed to do it when Ruiz beat Joshua and so should Usyk be entitled to do the same .

Which names ? Hrgovic had a gift decision over Zhang then fought Demsey Mckean ranked no 47 in the World followed by Mark Demori ranked no 145 in the World, now he faces Dubois a legit top ten fighter ranked currently at no 6 in the World .

Ok with me except the Joshua part. If Usyk wins, he should fight winner of Hergo-Dubwa.
If there is a trilogy that Fury wins, ok fight AJ but give Hrgo step aside money. He could then fight De Mori again.

He faced prime Zhang and won, stop downplaying it.

Wilder never won against top 10 contender
