The cards dont reflect how good the fight actually was.
For anyone who never watches the fight will believe it was a blowout by looking at the cards.

A 3rd fight if it was like that would be eminently watchable.

On this showing though both want to stay away from Matias, who would walk through them both

It's starting to bother me how much sense Bellew has been making lately, even his scorecards have been being quality.:lol:

    Competitive?

He's been schooled twice by him.

Bob Arum forgetting Maxi Hughes came over and got robbed blindly on his show recently?

Had it 115-113 Jack myself but could see 8-4/6-6 as well, 9-3 twice was unacceptably wide IMO.

No need for a third at 140 forsure. Cat won clearly two times, was it close and competitive? Sure, but so was Usyk/Joshua and no one is demanding a third there.

I agree that there is no need for a 3rd fight. Unfortunately to much money involve in Britain for a 3rd.

There’s a pretty big problem with scoring on this forum. I completely understand scoring is subjective, but there is a criteria.

You can’t just score a fight based on emotion, I see it every week here. Cat potentially stole a draw, but he certainly didn’t win

The Taylor that beat Ramirez to become undisputed was an excellent fighter. I thought he won the Ramirez fight almost at leisure, taking rounds off, he was that good. But that was 3 years ago. He hasn't had a good performance since, and has only fought once a year since. Inactivity hurts.

When the first score of 117 to 111 was read he knew he was on the wrong end of it.

    116-112 Catterall

Much better fight than the first. Catterall got off to the better start and finished well. I thought Taylor was done after the first 5 rounds, but he shown there is still some fight left in him.

Taylor's head movement and reactions aren't what they were so he was getting hit regularly with Catterall's left. Also, whenever Taylor got inside and had success, Catterall was firing back and landing. Catterall showed a lot more balls and fire in his belly than usual and his cancelling out Taylor's good work by instantly firing back with scoring shots, and hurting Taylor on a few occasions, is what ultimately won Catterall the fight, for me.
