    This is the fight that started it all for Manny Pac, but it was no cakewalk. The champ, Chatchai Sasakul, was one of the most beautiful boxers I've ever seen and he was boxing Manny's ears off until running into an 8th round haymaker. Hope you enjoy.

    This may be the definitive flyweight fight thread!

    Posting these only because threadstarter Dorrian asked about Miguel Canto fairly recently. The Maestro didn't have any epic wars, at least not on film, but here are some of his best performances.

    Canto vs. Betulio Gonzalez II and III: Canto decisively outboxes one of the top flyweights of that era, earning SDs only because of the partisan scoring of that era.

    Canto vs. Kimio Furesawa: not his toughest opponent, but probably the best demonstration of Canto's skills, or his greatest artistic triumph.

    Canto vs. Shoji Oguma III: hard-fought chess match against a guy who matched up very well against Canto and won two world titles in his own right.

    I expected @swagdelfadeel to come flying in and swooping down on this subject...though I shouldn’t talk. :D

    Believe me I came flying in, ready to compile an extensive list and a deep comprehensive analysis but soon found myself overwhelmed by the sheer number of abundance of fights, and the thought of having to analyze all of them.

    Therefore I had to make the unfortunate decision to refrain from posting for the sake of my mental health.

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Mental health always comes first. Your priorities are in perfect order. :D

    I’m currently thinking up my excuse - you took the best one already. Not fair. :(

    It depends if you’re including jnr fly (and strawweight for that matter) under the umbrella of flyweight. If you are, then the first fight should be there as well as Gonzales’s fight with Saman Sorjaturong and Chang v Tokashiki to name a few.
