Yeah, Joshua who had the most money, the biggest promotional operation, and all the A-side advantages couldn't figure out a way to get ONE fight with the previous Big Three over the line. Everyone is ducking the biggest money fight in the division. Keep telling yourself that. He fought Usyk because his team DKSAB and thought he could knock over a cruiserweight to save themselves the embarrassment of throwing the belt in the trashcan to avoid a prime contender.

Post your Fury-Wallin & Fury-Ngannou scorecard. Fury won and it's time to get over it.

Fury beat a better Klitschko, a more experienced Whyte, and didn't get slapped around and made to quit by Fat Andy.

How many fights has Fury had since beating Wladimir in 2015 ? How many of those fights were against Wilder 3 times and a 3rd fight vs Chisora ? And didn't Fury have a huge lay off after the Wladimir win where he was inactive for almost 3 years ? Theres your answer.

I already explained the Wilder situation they were scheduled fight and Wilder lost to Parker end of.

AJ just needs to keep winning and pick up another belt when Usyk retires. He has a good resume, and is hardly the first great fighter to have lost a couple.

He should should be relaxing and fighting for the enjoyment of his craft.

He won't be greater than Usyk, though.

The Wilder-Joshua fight was "marinating" since 2017. A 2023 decision loss doesn't explain the fight not happening. A fight with Fury didn't materialize either. You think the fight with Hrgovich that was talked about 6 months ago is ever going to happen? Are you seeing a pattern here?

The Wilder wins are significant legacy fights and put Fury at the top of the heap for that era. Fury also easily defeated Whyte during that time who beat Parker who is probably Joshua's best win. See how that works?

At this point Joshua hardly has done enough to have a better resume than Wilder. ATG? Absolute joke. Fun boxer to have around in this era. But not even in the discussion for the best of his era.

If Usyk retires after beating Fury again, AJ is never overtaking him

Even if AJ goes on to beat Fury, Wilder, Hrgovic, Kabayel, Parker again he still won't overtake Usyk.

It seems that Joshua's dedicated core of fans, who he by all accounts hates, are devastated that he not only doesn't, but cannot have a legacy as The Man of the division.

Joe Parker and a load of 40 year old's and THREE decisive losses doesn't get you there.

Until AJ beats Usyk, he can't, can he?.

    He's gotta beat da man...

So, the most he could possibly be if he continues to win every fight from here on in is
the greatest heavyweight of this era apart from Usyk.

Why is all the blame with Joshua though ? was Wilder ever truly willing to fight Joshua ? i mean Whyte was Wilder's mandatory for a significant amount of time and Wilder flat out ducked Whyte. So i don't know what gives you the impression Wilder was willing to fight Joshua when he was happy fighting no hopers and ducking the likes of Dillian Whyte.

Who had Wilder beaten though ? Stirverne who won a vacant belt against a shot Chris Arreola ? or an ancient Luis Ortiz who's best win was Bryant Jennings ?

I don't think Wilder ever showed he was better than Joshua to be quite frank, Wilder was not that respected amongst boxing fans and was considered a protected limited champion that just happen to have a big punch to bail him out of trouble. He gained some hype for putting up a decent performance against Fury in their 3rd fight, but when you take in account Fury was grossly overweight and weighed the same as he did vs Ngannou who did far better than Wilder that puts things into perspective.

People calling this the Fury era when he only fought 10 times from 2015 when he beat Wladimir to fighting Ngannou in 2023. And during this time only fought 2 ranked opponents and one of them was fighting Wilder 3 times, that's not what i call proving you are the best or the so called "Fury era".

Maybe if usyk were to retire in October and Joshua were to clean the division then maybe. If he could get a third fight and win then that would be a big lift. I don't see that scenario occurring

Agree AJ’ s just being proven as being on a lower level than Usyk.

After already being taken out bu Usyk, twice, and Ruiz, AJ could never catch Usyk’s cleaning out not one, but TWO weight divisions, with not one loss

usyk has proven to be the greatest heavyweight of modern times

Let me get this logic. Usyk beat AJ twice. Unified the heavyweight. Retires undefeated and would be rated lower than Joshua?

You should have just made an I love Joshua thread.

Stopped reading at : "AJ fans are deluded". Because they are.

Having a bodybuilder body doesn't equate to being great. AJ is slightly above Wilder, let that sink in.

That ship has sailed on him a little. He is a good fighter, but the greatest?

I do not believe he could ever be considered the best of THIS era. Even if he were to hypothetically go on to win a 5 fight series against Usyk, it would be a tough sell.

I think the best he could hope for is being known as a late bloomer who peaked at an advanced age and took over after Usyk, in the NEXT era, or the transitionary period before the next era.
