Tell me more about Joshua's "brave" and "gritty" performance getting knocked down and wobbling around the ring for the next four rounds against a 41 year old. Oh wait, that's his best win.

That may be, but I suspect taking clean shots off Ngannou takes something out of you. Rd 9 was the most hurt I've ever seen Fury, and he's been dropped many times before. Chin cracked?

    It’s cumulative
I’d say both of them summed together further proves his greatness

Nah Fury's chin has always been a bit of a question mark early in his career he was decked heavily by Pajkic who only had 4 stoppages Pajkic almost put him down again aswell at the end of the round.

Fury has good recovery powers but his chin has never been solid.

Fury isn't and never has been a great heavyweight. That is a myth perpetrated by Fury and lapped up by his simple-minded fans. He's a very good heavyweight.

That said, it is a significant win in terms of the history of the division. For no other reason than it actually gives us a consensus champion for the first time in a very long time.

Would I put it up there with events such as Ali beating Foreman? Probably not. But in its own right it is a massive win as it cements Usyk's legacy as a legend of the sport. He was a great before he unified the heavyweight division. He is now a legend.

This pretty much sums up how i feel Fury was never a great Heavyweight to me either, but it's a very significant win for Usyk as we have a clear number 1 Heavyweight now who has beaten 2 of the most notable Heavyweights in Joshua, Fury, clearly. Add to the fact that Usyk was the much smaller man aswell and that adds to the significance of the victory.

Usyk before the Fury fight was a great fighter to me but not quite an ATG now he's beaten Fury he's a clear ATG to me now.

Sure. Pacjik caught him clean down the pipe, and the bigger they are the harder they fall. But he got up quickly, took the count, and didn't seem all that phased by it. He ate a big right at the end, but didn't look in danger of going down to me personally. Usyk had him all over the place

Most of the above were major upsets....the losers were strong favourites (except for FOTC).

Usyk - Fury was much less so, most on here favoured Usyk in the forum polls.

That said, in terms of significance, it's the most significant heavyweight fight in twenty-five years, since Holy and Lewis fought.

It ranks with the Rumble, the FOTC, and Ali-Liston. If you take these three and add Holy-Lewis and Usyk-Fury, I think you've got the five most significant bouts of the past sixty years.

I'd argue Tyson vs Holyfield I was more significant.

Standing in the pit; the situation of getting an undisputed champion after 25 years - the value of Usyk's victory over Fury is reduced.

    You could make that argument.

    I wouldn't.

Both Holy and Tyson had already tasted defeat. Between them, they had four losses.
    Fury and Usyk were undefeated.

Michael Moore held the IBF belt.
Thus, the IBF belt was not on the line.

Henry Akinwande held the WBO belt.
Therefore, the WBO belt was not at stake.

WBC champion Mike Tyson gave up his belt rather than face his mandatory, Lennox Lewis.
Thus, the WBC belt was not at stake.

Neither Tyson nor Holy could become lineal by winning that fight.
George Foreman was the linear / lineal champion.
So neither Tyson nor Holy could become lineal by winning that fight.

Altogether, regardless of which of Holy or Tyson won that fight, there were four other heavyweights who could make a claim of sorts to being 'The man' (George Foreman, Michael Moorer, Henry Akinwande and Lennox Lewis).

The Winner of Fury-Usyk now holds all four major belts, is the lineal heavyweight champion, is 'the man' at the weight, and is currently considered the best of this era.

Hence, IMO, the Fury-Usyk fight is more significant than Holy-Tyson (1).

Highly significant and historical. First undisputed heavyweight in 25 years. Beat a great fighter in Fury-there has never been a fighter like Fury, that athletic for a big man and legendary recuperative powers. It was the biggest win in decades.
