Zhāng Zhìlěi vs. Deontay Leshun Wilder

Wilder’s chin is bad and now he seems hesitant to let his hands go after Fury stopped him twice. I guess you have to still give Wilder a punchers chance but he will have to be more active than he was against Parker.

I think Zhang will actively hunt Wilder down and stop him within the first 4 rounds. Zhang isn’t Parker, who looked to just outbox Wilder. Zhang has legit power and Wilder chin has always been shaky.

Zhang early KO is my official prediction. But maybe Wilder will prove me wrong, I think he’s overachieved pretty much his whole time as a boxer.

 

i accidentally voted Zhang on points but i expect Zhang by stoppage. I am not counting out Wilder though.

 

Zhang will surely detonate on Wilder some time in the opening 6 rounds and that will be that.

 

Sneaky suspicion Wilder flatlines him.

 

Not out of the realms of possibility. There's a lot on the line here for Wilder and he needs to turn up in game mode.

 

If Fury flatlines Zhang, he's back in the mix.

Zhang is there to be hit and so is Wilder. I expect someone is going to sleep.

 

A few unknown variables make this fight quite interesting - along with the fact that both guys carry clout.

Ultimately, I get the feel that Zhang, while sparing in his output, will have Wilder rock’n’ and reelin’ with most if not all of his considerately launched punches - which will ultimately see Zhang land the coup de grace by about round 4 or 5.

If Zhang gets caught however, and somehow hurt/put down - that would be a dramatic sight and it would certainly open up the possibility for Wilder to pour on the leather to finish it - but per his surname, Deontay’s follow ups can be pretty wild.

Big Bang appears to have a very respectable set of whiskers - if Wilder could hurt him, then it would be fair to reason that Deontay still carries his punch at least.

Nothing against either guy but I’d probably prefer to see Zhang win - and, in typical Big Bang fashion.

Zhang has quite a few, notable natural abilities, especially for such a huge guy - his output, however, is much less than ideal.

Wilder opposite. Yes he got heavy very quick hands but he will be smaller man in the ring and slower man in the ring.
Dont see this going good for him.

Wilder moving back in Parker fight was actually pretty good. He just forget to throw. With slow Zhang he will be very caution in first rounds but both dont use jab soo much soo probably he will winning rounds. And even if not main goal is slower slow Zhang even more and catch him when he will tired.
Hope Im wrong but Wilder might win this by KO.

Quick counter from Zhang is only Chinese Man supporters Hope. He for sure got power and hand speed to heart serioulsy Wilder but if he will be lazy in defence he might go sleep even with his great iron chin.

Only if Wilder remembers he has arms, something that slipped his mind in his last fight.

We'll see if Wilder can tap into some animal fire, in recent Wilder interviews he comes across all hippy drippy man of peace.

 

It would be nice to see Zhang rid us if Wilder once and for all, but you never know…

 

Zhang might KO Wilder with a Jab. If Zhang is anywhere close to 270 pounds Wilder won’t last more than 2 or 3 rounds.
