This bill is a month away. According to this weeks Boxing News DAZN will be showing it, but it didn't say PPV. As theres a few of Warrens boxers on it will it also be showed by TNT?
If its champions league night maybe not? I really would like to watch this properly so I hope TNT do, I'm literally not giving a penny to DAZN, knowing it's going to be an absolute ball ache to stop them taking more
Thanks for replying mate. Not following champions league, went off the game a long time ago for various reasons. Just watch international games. Could put a spoke in watching the bill on TNT as you say especially considering what Bob says about it being free. Course NOW theres the possibility I guess of the whole show being postponed which might be a good or a bad thing. Id still buy TNT or SKY if they found a replacement for Beterviev. Im more interested in the five versus five to be fair.
Watched the "arrivals" show on YouTube tonight - it actually feels like the promotion and production of this 5v5 is bigger than Fury-Usyk the other week. More boxing and less showbiz feel to it. Also amazing how Bivol has gone from undisputed, top of the bill, to basically the bottom half the card. Must be gutted.
FWIW… I have gone against my word a few months ago and bought the PPV from DAZN on Saturday. This way I got the month's sub (i.e. the Catterall Taylor fight that I enjoyed) for £1 which I was happy enough to do. I generally prefer not being tied to the living room for the undercard as I would be via Virgin. The trick is to do it via in app purchase. Within seconds of buying it I went into my App Store active subscriptions and cancelled it - it shows as cancelled, but still active until 24 June, just as expected. This was on the iPhone. Assume it's the same on Android / Google Play, but am sure someone else can confirm this.
I do enjoy BBC Sport playing it totally straight and referring to Turki whatsisname as "a Saudi official" - no reason for them to defer to him! Buncey will be fuming...
Bored of hearing how it's Matchroom vs Queensberry, Hearn vs Warren etc... taking all the attention away from the fighters, especially as there's some great match ups. Hearn has slated Wilder for years then brings him in as a ringer and makes him 'captain' just so he can gloat over Warren. Sums the snake up.
I suspect the Saudi official probably made that happen. "I'm picking heavyweights so if you can't deliver AJ you're signing Wilder for the night". All for a pound note. The fun will start if Wilder somehow wins really well, maybe Frank will do a Don King and sign him instead But yes, take the whole 5v5 nonsense off it and it's a really decent card top to bottom. With the original undisputed fight on top I don't think too many people would grudge 22 quid PPV for it (on TNT Box Office, of course).
What made me laugh about Hearn, Wilder and Sky was how they were half promoting him as an AJ opponent. Talking about how dangerous he is etc etc. Then when it was time to make the fight he was useless, nobody knows who he is etc etc. Hearn is genuinely incredible at his job
It is also live on TNT Sports Box Office, any bar showing the fight or at the house of anyone showing the fight.
