I don't think so. It's a red flag that it's been postponed again. I wouldn't put it past him to try to age Usyk some more. Usyk was visibly slower than in any of his Joshua fights. Whether it was due to overtraining or he is genuinely aging and on the decline now is anyone's guess. But Fury must definitely think if he can kick the can and mess around for at least another 6-8 months after December, Usyk will be 38.5 years by that point and his biggest asset, speed and movement, could suffer enough for Fury, even though he's 37 himself, to have much better chances against him.

But I can also see Fury just not wanting the smoke and ducking into "retirement" again. Whatever he says, he was beaten up badly. This is the most he was ever hurt in the ring. His nose was broken, his ribs were bruised, he was definitely concussed (shouting "haaaappy new yeaaaaaar" in May, oh dear), and he was saved from a humiliating KO defeat. All the narrative he was pushing for two years, all the "rabbit this," "middleweight midget that" rubbish was badly exposed. He and his family members can no longer say how Usyk is just "a good little boxer" who will be found out against the "7-foot behemoth" and how easy it will be to fight him. Shane and Tommy must be in total shock, after both of them declared before the fight how Usyk would be the easiest fight of their brother's career, amateur or pro.

Where does Fury go from here? He was beaten from pillar to post by this supposed little midget, even though he was in the best shape in years and he prepared more than for any other fight since the Klitschko bout. And still he was saved by the ref from being knocked out. I'm sure Fury has rewatched the fight multiple times since fight night and saw how outgunned and outclassed he was, despite all his efforts. A very logical step would be for him to just run away and retire for good. I seriously hope he won't do that though; I want to see Usyk knocking him out, which I'm very confident will happen should a rematch ever occur. But I know that Fury knows how this is a very possible outcome and he may cowardly decide to call it a day.

Now that Usyk hasn't retired, I really hope it does. I would love to watch Usyk molly whop Fury's fat ass 1 more time.

For the first time in his career (at least according to the judges' scoring), Fury has a completely new motive for the fight - to avenge the defeat.
Now we will see how great a boxer and man Fury is.

Honestly this site is full of whoppers.

Whether you like Fury or not you have to respect what he's done for boxing. All this bollocks about him holding the belt up but perfectly OK with uysk and is once a year fights is bollocks.

It's uysks team who wants december, Fury is/was ready to fight October as planned. Ask yourself why uysk wants another 8 weeks if he's so confident.

Both men are warriors and the clear 1-2 in the division.

I think he'll make it, why not. He hates to lose and wants to rectify this.
Now if he loses that fight, all bets are off, especially if it's by KO.
Then the return of AWOL fatso could be on the cards.

His history regarding rematches isn't great, didn't rematch Wlad and then signed with ESPN delaying the Wilder rematch. So I wouldn't put money on it. He's just too unpredictable to know for sure. He might bail out or he might show up in the best shape we've ever seen him in, the man is predictably unpredictable.

This is one of the greatest tells of a boxer's legacy: how they come back from loss. If he has any of the heart we've seem him display in the ring he's already working and will be there with bells on. He's probably still getting the bigger payday for the rematch as well, why not take it? Usyk fans don't seem too interested in the rematch and some are already building-in their excuse in case he loses....to anyone lol.

I hope Usyk as undefeated, undisputed and lineal champion now demands an 80/20 split like Fury did :)

The terms for the rematch were made with the original 2 fight deal, if I'm.not mistaken Usyk now gets 50-50 in terms of purse for this fight

Pretty much as I see it.

I'm sure there's the expected burning desire to avenge the loss. BUT, with Fury's own admittance, regarding his bi-polar, that could change on any given day and return the next.

From what Fury says about himself I'll wait until I see his ringwalk before I get fully excited about this re-match.

Even if this actually happens, there'll be some twists and turns on his part along the way I'm sure.

You want to know whats predictable? He looked like **** and was knocked down and arguably lost both of his last two fights.Seems like a continuing pattern to me.

A Dec.21st rematch ties up the heavyweight division through next spring, oh I'm sure they'll be a belt will be available later after Usyk is stripped of one but the whole thing will be on hold. And heaven forbid if Fury wins they'll be a 3rd fight wasting all of 2025,,,no ,just no.

Why do people treat fury like he’s a baby? He’s a fully grown man, GK!!
