If Wilder KO's Zhang tomorrow...

I think AJ beats either of them. Wilder I'm not sure how I'm thinking late stoppage but maybe take a leaf out of Parkers book for an easy shut out. I think he beats Zhang by stoppage. Zhang will gas that's for sure and there's only so many AJ bombs you can take when your tank is empty.

 

Joshua -Wilder should (finally) happen if Wilder wins .

 

I think AJ would lose against Wilder, but he'd win against Zhang if he boxed off the backfoot. Zhang would be very dangerous in the first 4 rounds.

 

Makes sense, the whole point of Parker/Wilder was likely to have Wilder coming off a good win going into the Joshua/Wilder fight, but of course Wilder was exposed by Parker's superior skills. So if he can beat Zhang he has that and they can finally make this long awaited fight. We all know it will sell well, at least in the UK it will, not sure if US boxing fans have any faith left in Wilder but maybe that's why they wanted Wilder to have a good win before going into the Joshua fight.

This is Wilder's last chance, many here already think he's shot or close to it, another loss albeit to one of the best fighters he's ever faced and easily better than anyone he has ever beat, will see him permanently relegated to the trash heap and forever end any possibility of a Joshua fight. He has to show up and perform if he's to secure what will likely be the biggest payday of his career vs Joshua.

 

It would very likely be the best win of Wilder's career.
And there is not much choice; or Stiverne, or Ortiz, or Zhang.
But let's wait for the outcome of the fight. The possibility of Zhang knocking out Wilder is not at all ruled out.
The only thing I am sure of is that such a fight will not end with a decision.

 

He's dangerous but flawed that's pretty clear now that we've seen him a few times with quality opposition. His power is legit and if you allow him to hit you cleanly you will go down. But he also has slow feet, is pretty easy to hit and a gas tank that empties around the 6th round.

He also clearly isn't the most disciplined fighter which in part is probably why he stamina isn't great. He's been as low as 277 and as high as 291.5 in his last 4 fights, that's a 14.5 lbs fluctuation in weight in about a year and a half which is a lot and probably walks around north of 300lbs between fights. He used to fight between 250-260lbs which is what he'd fight at if he was more disciplined but he lacks that dedication to stay in shape and so yeah he will likely always be inconsistent due to his inconsistent training habits.

am picking Zhang by KO. 75% chance in the first 6 rounds. think Zhang will win by points if it goes past 6.

 

AJ couldn't do it the first time, he won't the second.

I guarantee Turki wanted to make the AJ-Wilder fight instead of AJ-Wallin.
Hearn claimed they couldn't fight Fury during the Usyk fallout because they were fighting Wilder.
Obviously they weren't serious.
There's no way the Arabs wanted anything but AJ-Wilder from the start from those two.
AJ didn't want the fight, quite obviously.
Why would he want it if Wilder starts looking dangerous again?
Wilder could KO AJ then get the shot at Usyk if Usyk beats Fury again.
That would be a disaster for Matchroom.

 

Big Bang Zhang’s best weight is 270 - 272 he’s at least closer to that for this fight than the Parker fight. Zhang almost reminds me of Corrie Sanders no he doesn’t have the hand speed but he’s an older southpaw tall guy with loose muscle and kinda flabby even when in shape who can knock your god damn block off if you let him. Zhang has savage power in both hands his right hook to the head is a thing of beauty.

 

Joshua's better as a bully than he is as a boxer. He needs to go in with an aggressive gunslingers mindset to be at his best. Had the Wlad fight happened after the Ruiz upset then he would have lost that fight as until very recently he was still fighting scared.

If he does that then he gets Wilder out of there early and easily. Wilder's always been easy to hit and outbox and I always said I thought Joshua would jab him up early leading to him landing the first big blows and taking Wilder out. I reconsidered that when he started fighting more conservatively but am back thinking Joshua KO4 if that fight happens.
