Ali voluntarily decided to stay on the ropes though as a ploy to tire out Big George.

Usyk obviously wouldn't use that tactic he would be using the Peralta, Young, tactic of using movement/boxing and then start to attack in 2nd half of the fight when Foreman starts to tire.

Both Ali and Usyk are about 6'2. Not really sure about reach but fighters lie about that too. But I would be a little surprised if Ali didn't have longer reach just looking at their frames.

I would give Foreman the favourite.
Foreman is no AJ or Fury.
If Beterbiev can drop Usyk, Foreman certainly can

Paradoxically in some ways prime Foreman was not prime. It was later that he learned to fight relaxed and pace himself. However, any version of Foreman was underrated as far as his boxing ability. If he used his jab, it was an effective weapon, and he learned some tricks from his team. If the young Foreman fought a measured fight (this is a big if) I would favor him slightly over Usyk. However any version of Foreman could seriously hurt Usyk at any moment. Great match up.

I think the biggest challenge for Usyk here is that he really is not a mover. The movers could give Foreman issues sure but Usyk doesn't have that kind of footwork. He kind of bounces around like a Holyfield not glides around like a Jimmy Young. He would be there for Foreman to hit.

I am surprised how young Foreman seems underrated here

Foreman is bigger than Usyk he was a natural heavyweight back than they had to weigh lighter like 218 because they were fighting 15 rounds. You can see from the shoulder and muscle definition that George was naturally bigger. I also think George is all wrong for Usyk he won't be able to make George go on the Backfoot and George loved to bully and body punch opponents.

It is the opposite George is a bad match up for Usyk. While is true Usyk moves his movement is forward and side to side he is a pressure fighter. That is the worse style for George Foreman especially a Young George Usyk will literally be in range and let's not pretend he has an impenetrable defense. Chisora, Fury, Dubois and Joshau had success on his body and face. Than you have a guy like Foreman who is the most devastating punching power out of all hitting you all over the body if Berbetiev could drop Usyk with a body shot Foreman is definitely capable. George Foreman at his 40s nearly got Evander Holyfield knocked out and Evander is very similar to Usyk style of high volume pressure fighting it's a horrible style for Foreman.

LOL I keep forgetting that Foreman weighed "classic pounds" which are in fact heavier than the god-dongled "nu-pound" that they measured Usyk in. This is a typical problem for old-time fighters, where their enormous size is continually undermined by mathematics. I personally always pick Jeffries over Foreman because he was the naturally bigger man.

You don't know what you talking about Foreman walking weight was 230 lbs this is facts Usyk was a middleweight than Cruiserweight and now Heavyweight He is bigger than Usyk naturally this not up for debate. When Foreman fought Fraizer he was 218 lbs like I said his walking weight was much heavier. Usyk had to built his weight while Foreman trained to maintain a certain amount for 15 rounds.

Jeffries walked around at like 300 pounds he would have murdered Foreman. Keep crying.

This excuse has been laughed at and debunked many times over. Yet you still get the occasional butthurt doughnut saying it, like you are now. ( Strangely an irish guy!! :risas3:)

All countries in the world have sports more popular and more well paid than Boxing. Yet no other countries make these excuses, because they are completely laughable. A good boxer/fighter and a good basketball player are two totally different things requiring totally different attributes. USA have more current pro heavyweights than any other country, and get everything given to them on a plate to succeed. There is no excuses.
