That's the mark of a glass jawed fighter, they make otherwise ordinary punchers, or even light-hitters like Fury, seem like Earnie Shavers. That description not only fits Wilder, it fits most of his opponents. His career is littered with guys who were even more fragile chinned than he is!

I thought it was funny with the first knockdown vs Fury how he was complaining on the way down. I don't really remember seeing that happen before. I wonder if he managed to mention outfit, weighted gloves and fingernails all on the way to the canvas.

Good chance that glass jaw gets shattered again in 2021.

Routinely enters the ring around 211 lbs. - CW territory without boiling down - literally a beanpole walking, and has been managed to be stopped ONE TIME. Against probably the best HW on the planet. But he's got a "glass jaw"? You, sir, have a glass brain.

Some truly despicable posters on here, I would like to see you chin checkers get punched with knuckle dusters under the boxing gloves, and see if your still standing. Shame on you Ricky Hatton, and shame on you too Mark Breland!

Especially if you're just taken off a 300Ib ring outfight someone somehow tricked you into wearing or something, and had been given a poisoned orange before the fight, and heroin between rounds and had your trainer throw in the towel too soon, and had been placed under a curse.

Remember Fraudley repeatedly getting ROCKED by light punching British area-level fighters. Even he would look alarmed. An accident waiting to happen...just as The Chincheckers predicted :deal:.

Absolutely, the accuracy of the mandibular analysis posted by Chincheckers on this site has been proven time and time again. Fraudley and Wilder are just two cases of fragile glass mandibles which were identified early on, even before the most prominent shatterings of their glass jaws occured.

He's not got a glass jaw. That's fighters like Price and Herbie Hide. Guys who look like they've been shot off glancing, innocuous looking blows. Wilder's got a Jermain Taylor type chin, one that can take a few good shots before cracking, but every shot he takes does horrific damage to his brain. Wilder's already showing signs of brain damage with his erratic behaviour, and I don't think it'll be long till we hear of him losing it somewhere.

There's levels of mandibular fragility in boxing, just as in other aspects of the sport. In short, not all glass jaws are created equal!

Is Wilder's chin as bad as Fraudley's or Price's chin? No. But it's not that sturdy either.

You can name Wilder's flaws all day long. Glass chin ain't one of them.

That fragile mandible is getting shattered, yet again. Wilder's team protected those shaky whiskers by fighting the lowest possible level of "opponent " they could get away with fighting until they selected what they perceived was a washed up fighter in the light hitting Fury.

And those shaky whiskers were exposed, brutally and repeatedly. Wilder has always been a FRAUD, hiding pure china in that chin, and getting away with it by fighting stiffs for most of his career.

Wilder is going to get that super-fragile glass jaw shattered yet again tonight!!

Deontay Wilder is the devil in disguise

His death touch can kill a small primate

    Zilly Zag has no chance

Jokes aside there is a good chance Zhang batters Wilder worse than Fury.

Thing with Zhang is if he hurts wilder than fails to stop him he'll gas out and fall.

Yep. Despite the delusional fanboys wishes we WILL continue to analyze, critique, and talk about Chins on here because Glass Jaws exist in boxing. And no, that punch wouldn’t have KOed anyone it just happened to KO your Glass Jawed hero. Period.
