Who is more skilled ? Bivol or Usyk ?

For me? He doesn't pass the eye test, no matter what he accomplishes on paper. I mean, he's done two Jermain Taylor's. BFD. I don't rate Taylor that high either and he has a win over BHOP himself.

 

I said not to compare the achivements and names. only pure boxing skills.

Bivol managed to win 11 rounds against Canelo. That's really something

Everyone has read your thread titles and most have gone with Usyk

 

and many said about the boxers he beat, not the skills itself

 

Please do not insult Usyk and his achievements comparing him to Bivol who has not yet in his career even fought a Champion from his own division let alone gone Undisputed in two Divisions !

 

Just accept that we all rate Usyk as a greatly skilled boxer. Why does it bother you so much we have a different opinion?

 

We haven't really seen Bivol's ceiling as he has managed to cruise control - and we don't know if Bivol can go through different plans, adjust etc - he has his fundamentals polished to a shine, but Usyk has demonstrably proven he is a complete fighter, coming through gut checks, showing a great chin, adjustments - the lot.

That's one of the biggest reasons I was gutted that Bivol / Beterbiev was postponed, as it was a fight that Bivol would needed to have shown everything he has - and more!

 

For different reasons. He was great at CW, but non of these people rate him until he beat AJ. so It's still about who he beat(the name) not because of his skills.

 

To be honest, prime Mairis Briedis who fought Usyk was clearly more skilled than any opponent in Bivol's pro career besides Canelo

Even Tabiso Mchunu was more skilled than almost anyone on Bivol's resume (besides Canelo and Ramirez I'd say).

Don't get me wrong. Bivol has great skills but his resume isn't great so far and we have to watch him against more really skilled boxers to rightfully estimate how he deals against different styles.

usyk easy. eye test alone proves usyk better. if you cant see it, and need a sharper image, usyk has cleared out 2 divisions, while bivol has yet to fight the 7 year threat to his 1 division.

 

Usyk easy. Why? He's well past his prime and he's still close to Bivol.

More technically, he's more versatile and far better at offense - landing his blows despite big reach and height disadvantages.
Bivol is perfect at what he does but isn't able to put it on like Usyk can.

 

This so it's pretty hard make a choice maybe need to add a third option
