You could be right. Dubois and Wilder are both big punchers which is the style which will trouble Joshua. I think he’s a different animal since linking up with Ben Davison though.
I think it would be a great fight. Both decent punchers and neither like being hit (maybe more so Joshua after tonight)
Disagree mate. People said the same about Wallin and we saw what Joshua did to him on short-notice. I know Dubois and Wilder are much bigger punchers but I don’t think Joshua will be worried too much about Dubois. Joshua struggles against bigger punchers but I don’t see Dubois being able to handle Joshua’s power. I don’t mind seeing Dubois rematching Joyce instead.
He has a more positive mindset but still not really faced a live threat. The test will be will he still choke when it is layed on him like Ruiz 1?
The Dubois fight is what we want to see but I expect Hrgovic or Wilder next as easy touches appears to be the Hearn way while waiting on a vacant belt.
Could say the same about Dubois against Joyce and Usyk. Wallin was a threat, people on here were saying Joshua wouldn’t fight Wallin as he’s a slick southpaw. If Dubois takes the punches he did against Hrgovic today against Joshua, he gets stopped inside 6.
Dubois would maul Joyce now. The Joshua fight would be massive but Joshua won't risk fighting a young powerhouse like this.
That is why it is the Battle of the knee takers - who will fold first at the sign of adversity. Both have form for choking but both showing signs of improvement. This is probably the right fight at the right time for both.
Maybe now cus Joyce is old but Joyce beat him down behind the jab and was surprisingly cautious and careful not to get caught with the right hand. Styles make fights it would be interesting to see though.
I agree Dubois would smash Joyce now. As much as I question Dubious heart I think he will be a future world champ. Once the current crop retire I can't see why he can't bag a belt
