Bang on. Wilder never had many assets to start with so he's hardly going to perform well when they start to subside. His woeful resume pre Fury makes him a hard one to sort.

Ortiz maybe but that was a close fight and Wilder could of been stopped by anther ref in that fight and not given time to recover in-between rounds so that ain't saying much.
Stiverne not so sure for me that was Wilders best performance and the only time I ever seen him box to a plan and listen to his corner a glimpse of the raw potential he had but he fell in love with his power and never improved his skill.

Never said they didn't hit hard and I am not saying Wilder ain't slowed down either but the main reason he looks so bad is he is now finally fighting top fighters and not bums. Of course this is only my opinion

The first Stiverne fight was when I thought Wilder could of gone on to become a very good fighter but he fell in love with his power and was managed so bad and had too many yes men around him he needed some to tell he can not always rely on the power and work on his fundamentals not sure if he would of listened but he had potential maybe he was just untrainable maybe he just had the wrong people guiding/milking him

As bad as I think he is he has made a lot of money so congrats to him for that hik and his family dont have to worry about anything anymore he should definitely call it a day now of fight lower level fighters or he will end up not being able to enjoy he rewards

Huge difference getting cracked in the jaw by Zhang as opposed to Fury.

Wilder never listen to his trainer anyway if he had maybe he wouldn't of fell in love with his power and learnt some better fundamentals to then be able to use his natural gifts better

Wilder had what I call Naseem syndrome in which he was convinced that he'd hacked boxing and knew it all and everyone who had been working on their fundamentals was a caveman wasting their time. One of the most embarrassing videos I've ever seen is the one in which he's blowing off Lennox Lewis as he tries to give him some advice regarding his technique.

That is the trouble he was never tested so hard to compare.

I do think if he fought Povekin he would of been KO,ed a lot sooner maybe he would of gone back to the drawing board and improved then a L is not always a bad thing some fighters need it to improve

What’s funny is that vid made it seem like Lewis was being an arrogant dick. But actually, he was trying to help the guy.

I’m positive the glancing blows from Zhang that rocked Wilder (different to the full-fledged shots he landed) weren’t as hard as some of Fury’s flush shots that Wilder took without much trouble.

Wilder never had the best balance either but his equilibrium today was absolutely terrible even when he wasn’t hit.

It’s clear as day he’s a shot fighter at this point.

Yep. It was horrendous. He's had an ATG trying to help him and he treated him like he was some moron pestering him.

Exactly. The best he ever beat was who, Ortiz? Barely any top 5 fighters on his resume at all. I wouldn't at all be surprised if Parker always beat him. Not saying he would but i'm not going to argue with those that do believe that as there's bugger all proof on the table hence you have to take a leap of faith.
