Hrgovic's punches looked like pillows, Dubois didn't really feel them and I didn't see at any moment of the fight that he was shaken while Dubois' punches were causing damage, Hrgovic no longer has the hunger to try again...

It was a very even fight until the ending. I think he can definitely come back

Just needs to work on his stamina and defense and he’ll be fine. Could probably even grab a belt in the future if he commits himself

Yep this exactly. Hrgovic has had it too easy for too long and he became complacent and simply stagnated. Dubois and Parkers recent success can be attributed from them learning from defeats. Hrgovic is still prime, he simply needs to show he wants to improve and work on those areas in his game which are lacking, namely his stamina and defence. Also need to learn to be more effective on the back foot because it's clear now he's stepped up a level, he's not a big puncher.

If he does these things there's no reason why he can't come again and much like Dubois and Parker rise from defeat to become a better fighter.

His career isn't finished. Let's not act like AJ, J-Park, Dubois, Big Bang, The Dosser and Belly and many other top current HW haven't lost and come back from their defeats, some multiple times. He has talent and the physical tools but he's been poorly managed, as I and others have said, he's made zero improvements as a pro, and he was overconfident which I warned he was, lacked fitness and he paid a heavy price for it.

He is finished if he doesn't hook up with a good trainer who knows how to get the best out of him and who actually works on his flaws and building him into a much better fighter. All his trainers have been useless and I don't care what their track records in the sport are. The fact he's made zero improvements as a pro and so many others could see his flaws from the outside confirms that resoundingly.

AJ improved. Dubois improved. J-Park improved etc. Hrgovic never has. And he needs to go on a proper S&C program to increase his stamina and power too.

I said years ago I'd like to see him hook up with Shane McGuigan. I think he would actually work on correcting his flaws and trying to make him a much better version of himself.

Part of that was Dubois usually seeing the punches coming and pulling back as the punch landed.

Dubois fought a great fight. Hrgovics looked unprepared. Hard to believe he's the same guy that looked like a contender a few years back.

I told you he would lose . Hes overrated, his footwork, defence, his IQ ring are poor. Either he changes trainer soon or is better to retire.

Dubois Instead facing several good fighters has improved his skills.

He is a lazy boy who hasn’t been training properly for years and cutting corners.

He should probably retire as if he couldn’t get up for a Dubois fight with world titles on the table. He won’t be able to get up for the so called rebuild.

Talent only gets you so far.

He looked terrible. But the people ignoring the fact that he won the majority of the rounds clearly and that Dubois' head was a primary weapon for him are beyond delusional.

i agree with you. The question is : does he have the heart and desire of a Parker to improve?

Not sure anymore. I think he might have kind of fallen out of love with the sport.

Yeah he was clearly winning the fight up until the fight turned on its head. I only gave Dubois one of the first six rounds. But Dubois was clearly competitive in every round and was landing cleanly and the worrying thing was Hrgovic wasn't able to hurt Dubois despite landing multiple flush right hands.

Dubois definitely was leading with his head. It wasn't intentional but it was clearly dangerous and the referee should have warned him for it. I saw 3 blatant headbutts and there were probably more that I missed.

But it was the punches that bothered Hrgovic not the headbutts. That and the pace Dubois set, Hrgovic clearly gassed out and was then a sitting duck for Dubois and unable to mount any kind of rally to stop Dubois walking him down.

I don't think he is finished. He showed a lot of heart and was stopped on cuts. This was his first loss, and he is still relatively young at 31. He can still rebuild himself from here. I never thought too much of him, always saw him as very overrated when he was presented as this dangerous prospect looking to destroy the old guard of Usyk, Joshua and Fury and dominate the division for years to come (I kid you not, many people here or on Reddit were absolutely serious when predicting things like that). But he still has a lot left in him, and he showed plenty of heart and a strong chin last night, so he absolutely shouldn't retire, no.
