Fury looks beat because of his indisciplined lifestyle out of the ring and his frequent fluctuations in weight. This will catch up to you in your late 30's and against a world class opponent.
Fury is not damaged goods when he is in shape. Period. There were fights prior to Usyk where he hadn't trained and looked padestrian, but he brought his A game against Usyk. The Fury that Usyk fought was clearly more like the Fury who beat Wlad than the one that got humiliated against Ngannou. He was winning rounds in succession against Usyk, and it even looked one sided in stretches. Usyk just managed to beat him in the end because he is an all time great fighter.
This was one of the first things I mentioned in a Facebook boxing group as my prediction for what the excuse would be for Fury fans if Usyk won. Whatever helps you sleep at night, mate. But it's hogwash, of course. The reality is that Usyk was always going to be the downfall for Fury. Usyk is older than Fury and is declining himself. His foot speed and movement have visibly worsened since the first Joshua fight. In any case, Usyk is like a hybrid between Cunningham and Wallin, Fury's two toughest fights, only much better in every way than those two. No version of Fury would have had better chances against Usyk, mate. Getting knocked down four times won't cause you to be outboxed for at least eight rounds. Besides, the Fury fanbase was very sure about Fury not only beating Usyk but knocking him out. Didn't they get the memo about Fury being damaged goods? How convenient that this whole narrative surfaces now, after Usyk beat him and not a minute before. Fury lost to a better fighter, and he will lose again if he dares to face him. That's the reality of the situation.
Who isn’t damaged goods? Ive rescored the match, Fury won it. If Fury takes the rematch seriously, he’s 6 foot 9 and over 260 pounds. All he has do work on the stamina, do some weight training, he’ll obliterate Usyk in the rematch.
Both Fury and Wilder both have horrible resumes, I just don’t either were ever as good as we all thought.
No not damaged goods. I think fury from the 2nd Wilder fight is still the best Fury. But Usyk is older then Fury and probably not at his absolute peak anymore either. So fair matchup. It’s not like Fury didn’t get enough time to get in shape either.
Fury was in great shape for this fight. It just happens that 37 y.o. Usyk is about million times better than any version if Wilder
Fury didn't win more than 3-4 rounds and he is not 6'9. He was supposed to obliterate Usyk already. How many bites of the cherry does he need?
Come on the fight was a sham, Fury won rounds 1,3,4,5,6,7,12 at worst He out-landed Usyk prior to round 9 I tells ya and I agree with Fury y’see! Fury will destroy Usyk in the rematch.

I think he was a bit, in the Wilder III fight and the MMA fight he took more damage than he had for many years combined. 'Bad lifestyle' doesn't decrease punch resistance, but getting punched in the head a lot by big punchers does. Let's be honest. If Usyk had the war with Wilder Fury did, then got beaten up by the MMA fighter after not taking it seriously, people would say he was possibly compromised coming into the fight. One narrative is that Fury aways got KD'd etc. This is nonsense. He got KD'd a few times before his mid 20's then he sharpened up and didn't get put down until Wilder I. He took hardly any damage for a long time, until Sugar Hill showed up really. Fury used to say he fought defensively because he didn't want to absorb too many shots and get brain damage. How things changed.

But giving him 7 rounds "at worst" while not only was he outlanded, outpaced, and outpushed the whole fight but was arguably stopped in round 9 is... scary. It's actually scary if you seriously think what you just wrote. It scares me how detached people can be from reality, and it's just a boxing match we're talking about here, not even something actually important and meaningful like ethics, politics or economics.
