Seems such a shame he's 41 and didn't get pushed and peak earlier. Genuinely seems such a likeable good guy and great sense of humour. He put on some weight and wasn't fit enough for Parker fight although still nearly stopped him. Would love to see Zhang Joshua, has Zhang ever been down in the pro ranks even when he had kidney and liver issues midfight?
AJ is monstrous puncher, always was, but Zhang was going forward with bad balance, and was countered so that plays it's part too.
Zhang was dropped and stopped in the amateurs This content is protected I believed the KD against AJ was legit for a long time too but I'm not so sure anymore. I never noticed their feet getting tangled up and Big Bang being out of position until recently Big Bang was dropped in the pros in his 6th fight too. It was a good shot though This content is protected Re. the question. He's definitely one of them. He's a great character and very likeable guy. There are quite a lot of current HWS who are really good guys. In fact, most of the top 10 are
Interesting he had liver and kidney issues before, wonder if appropriate treatment has improved his durability.
Most exciting ? I'm not sure about that hes a bit of a plodder who don't throw many punches. I mean the Joyce KO was good and Hrgovic fight was decent if very sloppy but I haven't seen really many other fights of his that I would call exciting. The Parker fight was dull despite the 2 knockdowns and the Wilder fight was horrendous up until the KO. I do like Zhang though don't get me wrong but I wouldn't call him overly exciting to watch.
Zhang has a likeable personality and you want to root for him but he doesn’t throw enough punches that make him exciting to watch. Other than having big punching power he takes too much of his time trying to land a big bomb and doesn’t take enough risks. Just a boring fighter to watch but he does provide some unexpected KOs.
