I’ve been the biggest Wilder fan for a decade, and it’s just been downright sad to see his downfall. Even watching him last night, I knew that was going to be the final ever time I would see him in a ring again, he looked old frail and a shadow of his former self. It’s certain he will retire now.

What is Wilders legacy now, how will he be remembered.

He doesn't have one. He is entirely fraudulent.

Case in point...I am the first one who even bothered to answer.

Got to 42-0 knocking out tin cans, couple potentially the opponent took a dive, including his current coach then the first real step up of which was meant to be a cherry pick (no way he takes on Fury if Fury didn't have that 3 year lay off) he got found out, gift draw and then 2-0.

    0-4-1 against elite heavyweights.

He earned over $100 million plus in his boxing career and has set his family including his daughter for whom he became a professional boxer in the first place up. Mission accomplished I say. Who gives a **** about legacy, there are some boxing legends who have to struggle paycheque to paycheque after retirement

I often wonder what would have happened to Wilder though if the fight got waved in the 12th round in Fury 1, alot of refs would have waved it, no doubt about it.

You would think Wilder v AJ would have happened for undisputed?

He has accomplished all of that and will likely end up in the IBHOF at some point as well.

That's Wilder in a nutshell. Excellent, and accurate, summary of his thoroughly fraudulent career.

His legacy stands as one of the most significant frauds of the past three decades.

Wilder IMO is more of a wasted talent than a fraud IMO. It didn't help at all that his ego was pretty high which gave him a lot of haters considering he was a pretty average boxer.

Wilder in his best days was a good hungry fighter, defo not on the level of Uysk or Fury but I do think he would have had a good chance against Parker and Zhang. The Fury trilogy took a lot out of him.

He chose this career to care for his unwell family, and he left as a multi millionaire, as one of the hardest puncher's the sport has ever had and potentially a hall of famer.

As a exceptional knockout puncher with rather limited skills. It is hard to really say how he rates because of the era.

    Da Tamata can king.
Every time he stepped up he lost. Don’t try and tell me Ortiz was a top tier fighter.
