It must be true then I mean he wouldn't say that just to make himself look better would he. After all he has been proven right I mean look at Wilders last 2 fight he run through Parker and Big bang like they was nothing
I can see big bang stopping Fury but can also see Fury clowning him and not engaging until the second half of the fight and taking it on points. Big bang if a interesting fight against anyone because of the power he will always have a shot
The worst part is this fight only got made because Wilders handlers thought Fury was a too far gone to be a threat
Was a different division back then wasn't it? No, Fury and Deontay were actually a lot better than Pulev and the like. Most the names in ratings today are not the names back then.
In a world where they are highly rated fighters. Duh. In what world does a HW champion not get top spots?
In a world wear you fight the same fighters Wilder did he beat nobody to in the discussion to be top dog even Ortiz his best win never had any good wins that made him a top contender
Hyperbole. You can argue that Usyk and Fury were not the absolute two best heavyweights, but they sure weren't "conning" anyone.
Wilder never beat anyone on Pulev's level so can not say he was better and don't even mention Ortiz as he never beat any on Pulev's level either the old man would of got his face jabbed in against Pulev for 12 rounds
There was definitely a feeling that they were kind of in business together. Especially the first fight where they randomly out of nowhere signed to fight (wasnt it a multi fight deal too?) within like 6 months of Furys comeback while he still looked a mess and AJ had a fight booked, and then they constantly kept talking about how it was the best fighting the best and going "look, when two people actually want to fight this is how easy it is" as a dig at AJ. It kind of felt as though they were maybe strategically using each other as a way to avoid fighting any other big name elite opponents for years.
I'm shocked. Two professional prize fighters using each other to make money. Now they are older. One of them is a shot fighter. There are new names gaining notoriety. Sounds like boxing as it's always been. I don't see the controversy here.
In 2020 both Fury and Wilder were the best in the division Usyk made his claim after beating the bodybuilder
Hardly. When the trilogy started, AJ was viewed as the best heavyweight in the world. Deontay was not close second and Fury was just coming back after 2 years of sniffing coke. It changed in 2019, when AJ lost to Ruiz. But by the time the second fight came, AJ already rematched Ruiz and was again a unified champion. You can argue, because of AJ's loss, Fury and Wilder were the top 2 heavyweights at the time. They were rated like that by all of the major ranking outlets. But in the third fight, after AJ lost to Usyk, Fury was number 1, Usyk number 2 and AJ and Wilder were a toss up for the third spot. So saying Fury and Wilder where the best heavyweights in the world throughout the trilogy is simply false.
