Mike McCallum versus FMJ at 154

ODLH had 2 fights in almost 3 years and did nothing of note after losing to Mayweather so yes past it.

 

Oh and BTW remind me again what Cotto's record was at Jr Middleweight ? 5-3. Remind me again what McCallum's record was at Jr Middleweight ? 32-0.

 

He lost to Mayweather there and was totally done for Sadam. He lost to Trout after Mayweather. That’s three loses not four. If you refuse to be honest, stop responding.

 

What is not honest about Cotto's record being 5-3 at Jr Middleweight ? is that not his record at Jr Middleweight yes or no ? you're the one trying to big up Mayweather's wins at 154, but the fact is Cotto had 5-3 record at Jr Middleweight, ODLH was past it, and Canelo had a catchweight clause.

All of the above are facts but i'm wasting my time because you think Mayweather beats every single fighter known to man from 130 to 154 including beating Hagler at 160 so that pretty much says it all.

 

Floyd would have trouble landing anyting on McCallum. Mike would use his size and strength to get close and land to the body. Eventually he'd slow down Mayweather and land some to the head. Floyd is so good defensively I don't see Mike getting a stoppage but it should be a clear, if not one sided UD for Mike.

 

There's really no comparison between 154 McCallum and 154 OdlH. McCallum is miles ahead, especially of the version who met Mayweather - That OdlH was past it.

McCallum was naturally bigger than Oscar, a more consistent operator in that division (and in general).

If anything, Mayweather/OdlH informs us of a likely McCallum victory against both of them.

 

No, Floyd at 154 was not more active than Toney at MW. Toney threw 714 punches in McCallum 1 and Floyd threw 481 against DLH.

 

Floyd's output of just 481 in that fight wouldn't be much against the very active McCallum.

 

It's also worth noting in both fights vs Toney McCallum threw 849 punches and 890 punches and that was a 35 and 36 year old McCallum at Middleweight.....

Also worth noting that output is almost twice as many punches thrown as a ODLH and Canelo did vs Mayweather.

 

Cotto was a few years removed from his peak by the time he met Mayweather and 154 was not Cotto's ideal fighting weight.

 

Floyd almost always had the reach advantage. Here he's not only four inches shorter, but also have two inches shorter reach.

Very honest. He cut huge amounts of weight. Says he was 174 lbs against Curry! Surely that must have been his walk around weight, though. Few out on that much on fight night even today.

Says he was 161 on fight night for Colin Jones at WW, so he definitely was big.

 

Yeah, McCallum was always relentless with his work rate when he was anywhere near his prime. Add his size advantage to that and Floyd definitely has his work cut out for him.

 

McCallum has one scalp total at 154 that’s definitely better than Cotto. One.
