He`s not good enough to fight for a world title, too easy to hit and too predictable, just does the same combo over and over, he`s very easy to time, Dubois out-classed him.

He has a lot to work on and improvements that need to be made, starting with hooking up with a proper trainer who actually works on correcting his flaws instead of blowing air up his ass. But Dubois did not ''outclass'' him at all. Hrgovic won or dominated most of the rounds. He was just overconfident, thought it would be an easy fight (an early blowout) and wasn't in near the kind of shape he should've been.

Credit to Dubois for weathering the early storm and winning the fight but to say he outclassed Hrgovic is ridiculous.

Dubois adapted and took over after a few rocky early rounds, Hrg is too predictable and just does the same combo over and over, plus he couldn`t hurt Dubois so might have become discouraged too.

Hrgovic won most of the rounds. If he wasn't so overconfident and had trained properly and afforded Dubois the respect he deserved he would've won

Yes, as said, he has a lot he needs to work on

He can rebuild but has major flaws.

He's very easy to hit and doesn't punch hard. He landed so many flush right hands on Dubois and couldn't even knock him down. Likewise Dubois landed plenty on him, if that was Joshua he'd be knocked out badly. Hrgovic reminded me of Bowe in that sense.

Exactly. This, & your lengthy post above, well summarized the state of the HW div. and puts into perspective Filip's loss in an unbiased manner. Saved me some time too

I, like nearly 80%, think he should and can rebuild. Most of the current top HWs have at least 1 loss. Usyk is the glaring exception at the very top. Agit K & Jared A are undefeated, but I doubt that lasts long if they start/ continue to fight top competition.

Turki seems to be a good dude to the fighters and genuinely wants to treat them well. I think it was classy to visit him in the hospital and tell him, then and there when the dude is at a low point and feeling like ****, that he'll have him back.

Same sort of thing, I enjoyed his in-ring recognition of Zinad's bravery/toughness and immediate public invite to come back and fight on another card.

As to Hrgovic, he did not look like a shot fighter at all. He looked like he took Dubois way too lightly and like he was in **** shape. He should take Turki up on that offer, return in the best shape of his life. I like the above mentioned idea of him fighting Makhmudov.

Lesson to other fringe contenders, you need to stay active and test yourself. Hrgovich was fighting absolute bums.. so I don't feel for him to be honest.

One thing Turki seems keen on is making the best fight the best, hopefully gone are the days that years go by with no names on the faces of boxing resumes.

Fury for example... its almost said and done and outside of Wlad his dodged just about everyone.

Bull****. Zhang hits many times harder than Joshua and couldn’t KO Hrgovjc. Get off of Joshua’s pecker.

This and also I was hoping he’d start throwing that right hand a little closer and finishing with the left hook. But he didn’t. Just mainly 1-2… 1-2.. 1-2

I agree with your point in general 100% but you are wrong to apply this to the OP in this instance.

The OP is a big Hrgovic fan and is just extremely disappointed. I have to sympathize a bit with this, Hrgovic didn't get opportunities for a long time and now a mixture of poor preparation & taking Dubois lightly has let him down.

BTW, Hrgovic with proper 12-round stamina would still be a handful for anyone, he should definitely rebuild.

Thanks. Yeah, people have very selective memories. With exception of the champ Usyk and Agit, everyone in the top 5 has lost, AJ and J-Park 3 times and they've both been knocked out by fighters who can't punch like Dubois and been down at least 5 times a piece. As said, J-Park could have 6 losses.

Hrgovic lost on cuts, which may or may not have been caused by headbutts, to a very good fighter who punches like a mule through sheer overconfidence and arrogance. Even Dubios' trainer admitted overconfidence and complacency were a big part of it.

Yes he looked spent by that point, was eating some huge shots which he had difficulty seeing coming as clearly due to the cuts and Dubois was on the ascendency and things weren't looking good for him by that point but anything can happen in boxing and often does and the ref waved it off because of the cuts.

But like I said, he needs to get rid of Ronnie Shields and that other assistant trainer he's been working with since he turned pro and hook up with someone who is actually interested in correcting his flaws and helping him make big improvements.
