Both as favorites suffered their first defeats, Makhmudov is a bigger puncher, Hrgovic maybe a little better defensively and in terms of skills, a fight that is almost 50-50, who would win?
Considering Makmudov aint on that tehnical level, pre Dubois fight I would say easy win for Hrgovic, but now I doubt Hrgovic power. He landed dozen clean right straights and Dubois brushed it off. Makmudov is slow but has more power than Dubois. I would favour Makmudov here, not because he is better but because mainly we dont know Hrgovic state of mind. His confidence is destroyed and what if the fear of KO gets to him. But this fight must happen eather way.
Hrgovic beats him so senseless, he'll be going full blown Tourette's Goldust by the match's end. And since I said both were overrated hypejobs, I'm as fair and balanced as they come when it comes to calling this one.
Makmudov has a canon, Kabayel was slick and elusive. Hrgovic will have to go head to head with Makmudov and he aint got the power.
I think it will be kill or be killed, sure Makhmudov hits very hard, but if Wach could take his power for 6, Rice can take it for 7 and Takam can go the distance. Hrgovic who took Zhang's power, can certainly last that long, but I'm not sure if the reverse is true. Clearly Makhmudov is fragile, so I doubt he could stand up to a barrage of one twos coming back at him, like Dubois did.
Oh come on, yeah he lost to Dubois, but Makhmudov is so crude he makes Dubois look like Joe Louis. Would be a fun fight while it lasted, both have a similar approach, walk the other down and spam the right hand until the other guy falls down. I think Hrgovic's straighter right hand would see him land far more but Makhmudov would obviously be dangerous but he folded against Kabayel and can't see him lasting long enough for Hrgovic to gas out. Hrgovic stops him inside 6 rounds.
