Looked like a legit knockdown to me.

 

This thread does an injustice to actual Inoue fans who never made excuses for his knockdown or denied it happened. Fighters fighting at a high level get caught sometimes. He got up, composed himself, and went on to brutalise Nery for the stoppage win. That's all that matters here.

 

It was a well timed KD that had Inoue think twice. Let’s not make any excuses over a KD and discredit Nery’s early success. No fighter is perfect and anyone can get dropped at any moment. It happens in boxing.

 

He walked right into the punch that Nery threw. He's lucky he didn't end up like Pac did vs Marquez.....quivering on the canvas.
It happens; he lost focus for a second trying to impress the crowd and he got caught. Period.
