He has only 2 defeated and hes one of the few boxers around that can drop Usyk.

I think Usyk will either retire or stay at heavyweight and defend. I think this implication that he might move down may be a negotiation tactic to stay at heavy and get more money.

He should just retire after the rematch.

He may get 5 to 10 million fighting Opetaia, but he's not making more than 5 million against any cruiser. At heavy, he can make so much money just defending the belts.

I think Usyk retires if he beats Fury in the rematch. What else would there be left to prove?

Maybe 1 more fight with Joshua if Joshua fought with Dubious

If he faces Bodybuilder for the 3rd time or Dubois I'll retire from this forum. It's not a joke.

I would prefer to see him stay at HW but I can kind of understand it.

If he continues at HW there is a limit to how highly he can be regarded amongst the other greats, can he realistically expect to surpass say Lewis, for example? However, if he returns to CW and wins another title, there will be no ifs or buts about who is the CW GOAT

Also, it would kind of be hilarious if he did it from another perspective.

There is no minimum weight to be a heavyweight so he wouldn't need to give up the belts. And even if he eventually gets stripped by each of the orgs, he will still hold the HW lineal title whilst fighting at CW, basically until he rides off into the sunset, and if he loses...another CW becomes HW lineal

So it would be interesting to see how those, who had been arguing against the legitimacy of orgs stripping him, would suddenly react in that scenario.

Why? Who at cruiser is there for him to fight? No one is undisputed. Opetaia and Zurdo can move up to heavy if they want but the interesting fights and money are at heavy.

Legacy wise Usyk has already reached the zenith, so he should simply follow his wishes in terms of future career direction. It's hardly outlandish if Usyk prefers to box at cruiserweight; boxing at cruiser is much more a contest of skill than boxing at heavy, where his run has pretty much involved leveraging his advantages in skill against bigger, less skilled boxers.

Unfortunately, he can always make money in his final years:
Usyk v Canelo for the Lineal HW Championship of the world.
    or..wait for it...
Usyk v Jake Paul for the Lineal HW Championship of the world.
    ;)

Usyk vs Wilder at Super Cruiserweight (Bridgerweight) then. Make eventual history again, become the very first unified/undisputed champ there.
