Even extremely tough men eventually have a breaking point. We've seen some of the toughest fighters ever quit on their stools or against the ropes after taking a savage beating at the end of a long career. Wilders' three fights with Fury (especially the third one) took something from him that he will never get back. And the Parker fight compounded that cumulative damage. I think it's pretty obvious that after getting hit a few times by Zhang, he didn't have the heart for it anymore and was looking for a way out. I can't fault him for it, but It would have looked better for him if he had just sat down from a knockdown and pretended he couldn't get up.
Here we go again. Why is it y'all don't want to accept that he just isn't that damn good. Y'all love that dude so much for whoopin on guys that don't even have a Wikipedia page. Dude fought some who actually had shorts with pockets on them...... C'mon on man. Wilder was NEVER elite. He was promoted to be the next big American heavyweight. But when he faced legit talent and someone who wasn't afraid of his single weapon....the "club punch" he had no answer for it but to try and throw it repeatedly hoping it would land and bail him out like it's been doing. It's time for him to hang it up. He's capitalized on his hype. Made good money for he and his family. Why keep getting damaged for the sake of pleasing the fake notion of fans who can careless for him beyond his character he portrays in press conferences. Nothing was wrong with him. Nothing was ever wrong with him vs any of his opponents. These fighters go through an in depth physical to even get cleared to fight under these sanctioning bodies..... There's always so goofy fan with a WiFi connection trying to push some fake notion because they are afraid to accept reality regarding their favorite fighter.
He got caught by Zhang’s elbow with the first hook while his foot was being stepped on and complained to the ref doing a 360 and then got KO’d by a finishing cheap shot from his blind spot all while being already injured.
You must've hired to wash his sweat towels and dirty drawls. You are pretty passionate on making up B.S. to deflect reality of what actually happened in that ring. It was an overhand right that connected flush on Wilder as he was throwing a straight with is lead hand down, AS HE ALWAYS DOES. Wilder was the one who was stepping towards Zhang, so how is it that his foot was stepped on. There's no such thing as a cheap shot in the ring when you are toward in the dressing room, and in the ring before the fight starts to PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES. It's Wilder's fault he turned and did a 360 looking for the ref to bail him out. Zhang did what every boxer is trained to do. He didn't sneak up and punch Wilder in the back of the head, or come from behind him and punch him as he was walking away, or punch him while the ref is breaking them from a clinched, etc........ ALL THINGS WE'VE SEEN Wilder DO in previous fights. And Wilder wasn't injured. Otherwise he would have never passed the physical exam to get sanctioned for the fight. Stop with the lame excuses. Wilder simply is nothing more than a C average fighter who was able to navigate his career into becoming a big name. He's ALWAYS had issues with above average fighters because he has obvious flaws that he's never fixed from fight to fight. Here is what actually happened......Notice nothing of that garbage you posted is actually in this video: Angle from his corner: This content is protected Go to the 1:00 mark and you will notice, no foot was stepped on, and no elbow was connected. Thus Wilder turning towards the ref might have simply been a delusion from getting punched. Similar to when Blair Cobbs was punch the ref while he was being stopped. This content is protected
Looks like early stoppage to me. He got up by 8 and walked to the ref. When Fury got knocked down by Wilder multiple times, the refs gave Fury a way slower count, got up by a slow 10 and Fury had so much time to recover. We’ve seen Wilder recover multiple times from knock downs and even when Ortiz stumbled him, he recovered next round. They could have at least let him go out on his shield like he asked for his last fight. This content is protected This content is protected
I felt like he was done after the last Fury fight, Parker fight confirmed my thoughts. He's not injured, he's damaged. Some beatings are points of no return. Anybody with decent power will ko him at this point. Time to go enjoy the money somewhere.
You've been banging that drum for a long time and you're completely right, BUT I will say, seeing Usyk hurt Fury and then land so many follow up shots without putting Fury down the way Wilder managed to 4 times with a single shot does make me think his power is at least well up there, if not the legendary level I previously believed it to be on
He didn't know where he was when big bang clobbered that noggin. He just knew he was hurt and told the ref, whom he thought was his grandma, that he had a boo boo.
He's clearly got good power - it's just overrated because he was able to swing hard and use full power without fear for most of his career... Because he was so protected from anyone decent until the Fury cherrypick went wrong, it was easy to get caught up in the hype if you weren't paying attention. As I say, he clearly had power - but Fury using a brand new style in #2 & #3, and being unfit in #1 & #3 (and rusty and badly gassed on top in #1) wasn't hard to hit... Far, far easier than the version Usyk fought.
I believe I read somewhere that his ovaries were bruised as well, keeping him from talking to some reporters after the fight.....lol.
Here we go with this crying again..... Fury whipped his a$$, PERIOD. The first fight Wilder landed 2 big punches and you goofy Man Fans felt he should have won. You still crying over what you call a slow count. Okay. It was a slow count......Why is it y'all don't protest the fact that in the first Ortiz fight, Wilder was getting beat on for 65 seconds and didnt respond. The ref gave him a gift. At least after Fury got up, he won the rest of the round by clearly outboxing Wilder til the bell....Wilder could barely sit on the stool when that bell rang. You silly fans don't give a damn about Wilder. The ref did his job.... People have lost their lives in the ring. The ref stopped the fight because Wilder looked to be out of it. Who gives a damn about him going out on his shield. Silly boy....he's a FATHER first. It's idiotic to suggest that it would have been better for him to receive more damage just so that your tiny brain can be sure he wasn't going to be able to come back and win the fight. What if he would have been hit with a devastating blow that ends his good health or worse, his life. Use your little undeveloped brain to give some broken logic on which of his 8 children would say......"Well at least my daddy went out on his shield"...... There's things more important than trying to get a "storied comeback victory". Wilder was punched into a 360 and then laid down like new pavement for a busy street. As he got up he still had "Bambi Legs". Your silly a$$ is claiming it was a premature stoppage. You deserve a passionate high five to the face for that comment.
I'm aware of that, still surprised Usyk didn't get the clean knockdown with the follow up shots because he had Fury badly hurt and landed some beautiful shots
