As Marciano is still the most polarizing figure on here, and the fighter who draws the most replies.
    Marciano v
    M Spinks
    Pinklon Thomas
    Tony Tucker
    Frank Bruno
    James Smith

    Tyson v
    Roland Lastarza2
    Don Cockell
    Archie Moore
    Ezzard Charles1
    Joe Walcott 2
All fighters as they were when they faced the 2 champs.
How differently do they play out?
ps I would be quite happy to make a thread about Billy Petrolle, Fidel La Barba,Benny Lynch etc.
But how many replies would I get?

Bit pushed for time right now, mcvey.
But for now I'll say Tyson against Marciano s lot, Tyson would stop a few of em very early.
No diss to Rocky but Tyson so much faster, very explosive and punched so hard, those guys aren't getthg the chance to get past the fifth.
    Just my opinion.

Marciano only wins 1 or 2. Tyson only loses 1 or 2.

Marciano ko's Spinks in 1 round?

Charles goes the distance with Tyson?

Cockell goes 9 rds with Tyson and is stopped on his feet ?

Moore goes 9 rds with Tyson and drops him?

Lastarza goes 11 rds with Tyson and is stopped on his feet?

The results are the same in the win loss. Although of any of the people to possibly upset Tyson I’d pick Charles (I don’t think that he would but if I were to place a bet on one man it would be him). Charles had the skills to beat him but that’s not a conversation u r prob willing to have. Tyson would be in trouble if Charles survives the first 6 rounds. Tyson never went 15 rounds and I don’t think he could.

Tyson sweeps his 5 and most early

Rocky would likely imo drop at least 1 or 2 just based on the size difference coming back to bite him. You can’t reasonably expect a 188lb man to consistently beat men that weigh 220 or more that are skilled. Now if it’s a fantasy like Rocky on his best night vs each guy in a 1 fight only case maybe it’s a little different but if it’s playing out like a real career and he has to face each guy I would guess he loses a couple.

Tyson wasn't visibly tired at the end of 12 rounders vs Smith, Tucker and Ruddock. I don't see it as a likely problem.

Agreed he looked pretty good at the end of those fights, and I would include Mitch Green, but I believe he has some kind of breathing problems, though. Don't know the details but I have heard it referenced. Maybe someone else knows more.

I'm not sure Rocky would have won those fights, but I'm sure they would have been painful. Very easy fights for Tyson. We'd say he won with cans

Marciano beats Spinks but loses to the rest.

    Tyson cleans house.

I could see a prime Moore squeezing out a win over Tyson. Mike ko's the rest, unless his ulcer explodes during a bout.

On the surface this looks biased but is the most realistic outcome, the fantasy that 190 pound 5'9 Marciano outslugs that bunch who could box, some cracked extremely hard, had excellent jabs, all including Bruno had excellent chins (Bruno was stopped vs Monster Punchers on his feet) , four out of the five were physically very strong and four out of five had way above average jabs with some real sauce behind it.......Marciano gives away anywhere from 6 to 8 inches in height and 20 to 40 pounds in weight plus 4 out of the five could go 12 all day long.

IMO Archie Moorer aint making it 3 rounds vs Tyson, none of that list has ANYTHING to hold him off..........Lastarza or Cockell would be butchered before Tyson even met Berbick.
