Fair points, definitely think Wilder cracked Fury's chin (along with his lifestyle) which is why I found it so surprising usyk didn't get that clean knockdown, think Wilders power was elite if nothing else
Nah he landed more than enough shots before the ref barreled in, taking nothing away from Usyk, and giving no more props to Fury's chin than necessary, but Wilders power is legit to drop Fury 4 times with single shots, even if that power is the only asset he ever had
Styles a big part of it too - Fury at his best, in his natural style is much harder to catch clean than the basic "kronk" Fury that Wilder fought twice... Usyk didn't get the easy to hit version or the unfit versions that Wilder did - and he didn't risk overcommitting either. Wilder has power... I just don't think it's as elite as some claim due to the context around his KO streak.
Yeah he had to carry the extra weight of a crappy trainer on his back. Deontay is done, he no longer has the desire to be there and Malik has made him worse then ever.
Yeah usyk definitely fought the better version, but with diminished punch resistance I would argue . Agreed about the KO streak though, woeful level of opposition
Wilder was always a limited boxer but with amazing power. He has slowed down and throws a lot less punches. This has s nothing to do with injuries, time has caught up with him and it's time to call it quits.
