Your right about Wilder, he was getting the hell knocked out of him in the third Fury fight, yet he walked back in to it and kept on trying.
I think even hurt against Frazier (and he would be), imo he s gonna take some taking out.

This post reminds me of how Joseph Parker kept ducking underneath Wilder's right hand a la Joe Frazier every time he threw it. Thats true, he needs an uppercut, and he never developed one.

Deontay was a very good champ, held the title for 5 years.

Deontay never fought anyone in the class of prime Frazier. I don't even think he'd land that right flush on Joe when he's smokin'.

Despite Joe being such a slow starter, Wilder is knocked silly in 4.

Remember, Foreman couldn’t keep Joe down.
Frazier with his eyesight from the Manila fight could’ve still seen wilders right like an eagle sees sloth overdosed on Valium a fifty feet away

On one side a legendary ATG.
On the other side a mediocre overhyped pretender.

    Difficult choice indeed.

I don't think that Wilder's fight from a distance would have effect against an ATG pressure boxer.
Wilder doesn't have the strength of Foreman to push Frazier off him.
Wilder has no chance in an inside fight.
Wilder's legs are also a problem, as is the fact that you have to be named Foreman or Ali to beat Frazier.
    Frazier would knock Wilder out.

His title run was a joke. his resumee is surpassed by many contenders that never won a title.

I agree his resume had short thrift, however he held the WBC title five years, and imo knocked Fury out (the latter seems to be regularly defended by refs...suspiciously so). Most referees wouldn't have let that first Fury fight go on, he was completely unconscious.

Wilder for sure ain't a top 30 ATG. But he had a reign longer than most, with what more than a few people consider the most prestigious of the alphabet titles.

Off topic, but I hope someone will understand me.
If it was a knockout here, Fury wouldn't have had the opportunity to make the heavyweight division what he made it.

Asking respectfully...what did he make it, exactly?

11 defenses in just a bit under 9 years, including the one where he lost the title. Look at Holmes, 20 defenses in 7 years, Tyson 10 defenses in under 3 years, Louis, Klitschko...

I am thinking about this: had Wilder been given the ko victory he earned in the first fight, how much more thrilling would Fury's comeback ko have been? Wilder's stock would have rose to top 17, surely.

We agree in opinion, but I don't know why you didn't understand me well.
If Fury then lost by knockout to Wilder:
    - would not embarrass the boxing world against Nganou
    - he wouldn't defend his title against Chisoro
    - Otto Valin
    - he wouldn't defend his title so rarely
    - and maybe he would react to the first defeat (Wilder 1) like this:
