Now, I'm not so confident in Gvodzyk.

Now Gvozdyk keeps his hands lower and hes much slower. After a few bodyshots his handa will drop and he will get caught at some point he looks nowhere near as sharp as the Beterbiev fight dont get your hopes up

Thats "hey guys I'm just here for a check" talk without actually having to come out and say that. Shame on Benavidez for selecting a guy he already beat up on in sparring and never mentioning that fact because he knew how bad it would make him look

this was years ago, so gvodzyk wasnt this old. says he was not in good shape like today, thats why david dominated him. or, it could be that david is just better, like i said in my initial post. well, hes gonna find out soon which one of us is right.

You mean Benavidez was better than Gvodzyk even 7 years ago, when they sparred ? Or you are talking about at the moment ?

both. david is just a better, more complete fighter. the only question was if he would have trouble with the extra weight at 175. and according to gvodzyk, it wasnt, he was still dominated by the smw kid.

He'll get the late TKO, imho.

Gvodzyk probably thought the purse was worth another L

If this was 7 years ago then that means Benavidez was a teenager?

Of course he will , Gvodzyk "sparred" with Canelo (Fight fixing queen)...he knows how to take it easy

Speaking of that. Why is everyone ignoring the fact that he's buddies and a regular sparring partner for Canelo? This is a hit job taken out by Canelo and the Reynosos, to take Benavidez out of the equation.

Problem with that theory is that Gvozdyk admitted Benavidez beat him up in sparring.

Yeah, when he was jetlagged just starting his camp, while Benavidez was pretty far along in his, it means absolutely nothing.

Wasn't Benavidez a kid and he now he's in his physical prime? Isn't Gvozdyk 37 now?

Well Porter beat Usyk in the amateurs when Usyk was 18, now he's 37, so you know what that means!!!!

It means **** all, sparring is sparring, especially when one guy is in the middle of a camp and the other is just starting his. Benavidez if anything has regressed over the last few years skillswise and his power has been waning. I highly doubt Caleb Plant would have gone the distance with Beterbiev or this version of Gvozdyk for that matter. Ellis wouldn't have lasted 11, Roamer Angulo wouldn't have lasted 10 and Dirrell certainly wouldn't have lasted 9.
