This is another reason why Usyk is the GOAT King

Because whilst many of his HW peers have been grave robbing and raiding care homes for opponents he's been earning his stripes fighting prime fighting men, again and again, in their backyards, and he's been slaying giants up at HW, prime giants in their backyards or on the road

His best wins at HW AJ, Belly, Dubois and at CW Briedis, Gassiev, Glowacki, Bellew, Huck, Hunter, Mchunu were all in the primes (35 or below)

Incredible. Usyk really is a god among men

Nope. I had him on ignore since forever. Some Fury fans needs therapy. Imagine talking about age, when your hero best win is against 40 years old Wlad and ducked Usyk for 2 years straight to age him out, and in the process fought 40 years old Chisora and losing to 37 years old Ngannou who was out with knee injury for 2 years. You can't make this stuffs.
AJ at least fought Usyk when he was 34, not 37,5.

Personally I am tired of this tired ass age argument. I'm generally tired of people making a case based on their chosen top ten that ignores the reality of working within sanctioning bodies.

Who was highly rated? Oh, they were old though huh? Well pick a ****ing lane then *****.

Are prime-of-life boxers best regardless of rating or are the top rated boxers best regardless of age? Playing both sides to suit a narrative isn't clever, hasn't fooled anyone, y'all get called out for it all the ****ing time, is dishonest as ****, immature like a toddler, and just genuinely a real dumb person's path for thinking they have a point.

No one has any reason to give any shits about any of our ever evolving personal criteria for greatness, dunno why everyone's so into this game. Let's see who can say the dumbest stuff the most often? Who is capable of crafting the most logical fallacies that pick up the most slow-brained followers who themselves lack the critical thinking skills to even ask "The **** are you jabronis even talking about?"?

X hits hard cause him big doe, so him a "real" contender

Y isn't very good because him old doe so not a "real" contender

Champion Z, never fought a "real" top ten doe

stfu, give yer balls a tug, grow TF up.

I don't think he does actively
He seems to have chased big fights and many of those were big fights available when they happened

Klitschko was rated #1 by The Ring magazine when he fought him in his 19th fight
Who else should he have looked to face?
Fury at the time wasn't active.

Povetkin was #3 by The Ring magazine when he fought him and 39 not 40

Takam was a replacement who had been given a training camp and was 36 not 39

Pulev was number 10 by The Ring magazine when he fought him and 39 not 40

Helenius was a tune up fight and was 39 not 40
    Ngannou was 37 not 38

You are missing some of his other fights like against Whyte, Parker, Ruiz, Wallin, Franklin, Breazeale, Martin, Molina
Who were not as old as any of the above at fight time

    A serious question
As Klitschko was rated #1 by The Ring magazine, who did you propose Joshua should have fought instead and who was available?

So the youngest top ten heavy weights around right now are Jared Anderson and Daniel Dubois. Joshua is already fighting Dubois, and does anything think it would be some great win to fight hypejob Anderson over a legitimate contender like Zhang?

He can't win with you mongoDBs.

    Thing is...

Neither orgs ratings nor prime tracks well in the real world, at least not on its own.

You have to analyze based on resume and performances against good fighters... Age (pre- as well as post- prime) is a mitigating factor - something to take into account when judging whether a fighter is likely to have declined (or got better).

Age as a number on a sheet of paper is meaningless - some guys are still fighting at their very best and some are shot at 35... And in very rare cases some do their best work at 38+ (Zhang) and some are shot before they're even 30 (Hamed).

Shifting the blame around doesn't change the fact that he fought a lot of 40 year old men
