Max Baer vs Usyk

The best of Max Baer goes out with bad intentions towards Usyk. Could Baer's pulverizing right hand catch the southpaw?

 

Usyk should be able to win a decision comfortably, but he’s a pretty aggressive pressure fighter too and that could backfire against such a murderous and unpredictable puncher. Good chance Maxie’s clowning attitude keeps Usyk guessing for a lot of the fight too, would be a fun one

 

Easy win for Usyk Baer way too basic, slow and lacking in technique. Either wins a clear decision or gets a late stoppage.

 

With Baer’s “defense”, lack of any semblance of a jab, and atrocious technique, including falling halfway to the floor when throwing an uppercut, call me crazy but yeah no way he’s winning or even going the distance

 

I think Usyk easily avoids the right hand and he also has the safety net of a terrific chin if anything does sneak through.

Baer has a great beard also but I see Usyk hitting him a LOT and with greater authority as the fight wears on.

IF Max could last the distance, he would be quite a mess - I think there would be a stoppage at least between rounds 10 and 15 if not earlier.

 

I don’t think this fight is even close.
Baer only has the proverbial punchers chance.

 

MAX loses a unanimous decision, and by the half way point he knows he's blown it.

 

I love Max but he’s a bit out classed here. Usyks chin is to good and defense to good. Max always has a punchers chance but he losses this one.

Usyk isn't a huge puncher but with Baer he can hardly miss. Baer is a horrible boxer whereas Usyk is one of the best heavyweight boxers I've ever seen. Add to that the fact that Usyk is the same size or heavier than Baer. This is the slaughter of the innocents.

 

The only fight that would be "slaughter of the innocent" would be Galento vs AJ. And it wouldn't be Galento being slaughtered

 

Maxie had $1 million in chops but a $1 brain at least when it came to boxing.

There are versions of Max Baer Usyk would beat but the best of Max Baer should be able to win. How does Usyk win in a 10-9 system if he gets knocked down a few times? Yeah Usyk is a little bigger than Max but he is a point fighter through and through who has pretty consistantly lost 4 or 5 rounds at HW without getting knocked down. Usyks faced the best the sport has to offer but its not just Fury and AJ, Chisora was able to give Usyk problems. If Max wins that many rounds and gets a knockdown he wins.
