Matias just did not throw. Maybe it was pressure of fighting at home. He was never going to outbox anyone. His MO has always been grinding you down and knocking you out.

Matias is a very good fighter still but he's an example of a guy being given the "Boogeyman" label based on a flashy record and fun style. People were acting like he'd annihilate the likes of Teo and Haney, which tbf he could still do but it was never as cut and dry and some made it seem. Matias always had a very flawed style and with all due respect to Paro, if he could do it then a decent few other guys could aswell. Won't call him a hypejob but boy oh boy was he overhyped.

I'm glad I was wrong - I thought because the ref Pabon was corrupt, the judges would be as well.

    Excellent performance by Paro!

This fight was a little weird in that every round was the same but different. In each round Paro outworked Matias with a good quantity of not particularly powerful punches. The only question each round was whether on not Matias would land enough power shots to make up for his lack of activity. He didn't do it often enough.

Matias is monster if you stand in front of him but Paro mixed up the boxing and moving and when he did stand in front of Matias he knew how to nullify him whilst getting off with his own shots. Feel bad for Matias losing in front of his home fans.
