Annoying pbc commentator

Mauro Ranallo. I despise him and his toupee.
He is part of the modern podcasting style combat sports commentary, and one of the worst offenders. He spent nearly the entirety of the opening round for Tank vs Martin, doing a pre-fight hype narration. I hate this so much.

 

I dont watch a lot of PBC shows because the commentary is always horrendous but last nights seemed exceptionally bad and terribly irritating

 

He's appalling. About time someone called him out. Was looking forward to putting him behind me when the Showtime coverage folded but he's back like a bad smell. If his commentary style is what appeals to the younger generation, **** the younger generation.

 

I like Mauro. He was calling combat sports a long time ago. He was commentator for Pride FC (MMA) and also New Japan Pro Wrestling. His defiently not some new cat on the scene.

 

He should stick to calling wrestling…. Where he shines.

 

well when he called New Japan pro wrestling it was refreshing to hear an English commentator actually call it like the matches were shoots and called it as a sport.

Cant forget this fight in Pride FC. This was iconic and fitting because this truly was a huge upset.

Why do you think the younger generation are responsible for this?
If anything I reckon he'd appeal to republican Boomers and xers as they seem to like shouting and hyperbole over ie: Rush Limbaugh. Alan Jones etc. Also, Millenials and Z's have very little money compared to older generations.

His name is Mauro Ranallo. While his boxing color commentary isn’t the best I have a soft spot for him because of his prior work in Pride FC and Strikeforce.

 

Good at PRIDE...bad at boxing...

 

Remember when Cro Cop intimidated him so badly that he almost pissed himself? I can't blame him for that one, though, lol. Cro Cop was a scary guy.
