I picked him to beat Brock Jarvis, Montana Love and Matias I've known he is good for a minute so nice try. Also he is from Mackay in Queensland no where near Sydney.
I agree Garcia is guilty and there should be more testing but to deny there is anything suspicious about Floyd and the IV is crazy.
Yep this, he was being lauded as one of the best in the division without facing any of the top guys, having lost to a C lister, even being speculated as a future undisputed. They hype he received from some on here was ridiculous. He got fully exposed. Ponce stood right in front of him and traded, so did Ergashev, Matias has been matched up with guys that suited his style. Paro simply didn't just stand there and trade and it was enough to beat Matias. He used lateral movement, touched him with the lead hand to keep him behind a high guard, tied him up and pushed him back so Matias couldn't just walk him down. It was simple tactics but Matias had no answer, couldn't adjust, couldn't do anything differently but walk forward and keep doing the same thing and hoping what he had been doing was suddenly going to work.
Ring champ Teofimo lost to Kambosos and should have losses to Martin and Ortiz #1 Haney has never beaten anyone remotely close to his size, barely fought any punchers, lost to Ryan and categorically should have a loss to a 20lb lighter six inch shorter reach old past prime leprechaun Loma despite having a freaking 36 hour weigh in #3 JCR lost to Taylor #5 Taylor lost to Catterall and Teofimo #6 Rougarou lost to Taylor and Haney #7 Hitchins clearly lost to Lemos but the three home judges robbed Lemos blind #8 GAR lost last night #9 Martin lost to Yigit, a no name early on in his career and Teofimo albeit that was a robbery Most fighters struggle against a certain style or certain styles and Paro had the right style, game plan, skills, attributes, intangibles and he put it all together beautifully on the night and fought a damn near perfect fight. Like I said yesterday, not all fighters are complete fighters like Loma, Usyk, Floyd etc. In fact, the vast majority aren't Before the fight Matias said he felt E-Hearn wanted Paro to win (albeit he didn't mind that) but I questioned that at the time. However, after the fight I could see what Matias meant as E-Hearn didn't seem unhappy at all. Quite the opposite in fact. E-Hearn said before the fight that he didn't feel that Matias was the right fight for Haney to take right now and that he wanted Haney to fight his mandatory Martin instead. Translation: He thought Matias would beat the soul out of Haney's body. I think he's relieved that Matias has been taken out of the equation for the time being and he sees Paro who looked noticeably smaller than Matias, let alone the 165lb Haney, as a much more winnable fight for his American golden goose who he's heavily invested in to help him try and break the US market.
