Couldn't put a dent on a inactive 2 weight class smaller charlo, but supposedly benevidez looked back moving up on weight beating a solid and bigger experience veteran fighter...and all of a sudden beenvidez loses to canelo.

What world are we living in?

What do you think benevidez does to that charlo canelo faced?

Charlo appeared to be bigger than Canelo. He's taller with a longer reach. Charlo was a weight bully at 154, he should have been fighting at 168 or at least 160.

Let's not forget, Canelo started at the lower weights, and fought at welterweight and super welterweight for several years, doing exceptionally well at 154, which seemed to be his natural fighting weight. He's actually small for a super-middleweight.

How do people still not grasp Canelo isn't a natural SMW.

If you turned on boxing for the first time and saw Charlo and Canelo about the fight, what would be ones thoughts about the size difference?

We are living in a world where Canelo could KO Plant and Benavidez could not. These little triangle theories are meaningless. You have to look at styles and individual performances.

When he fought at 160. Like, I don´t mean to insinuate it was a big struggle, but it was enough for him to permanently stay at 168. He won´t even entertain the thought of fighting Crawford at 160, for instance.
Canelo was 174 on fight night vs Trout. Clearly he has gotten bigger since.

Canelo dominated Charlo that whole fight, even getting a knockdown. DB was losing the late rounds against an old Gvoz.

That's like saying Lomachenko can't make Super Featherweight when we all know he can. Fighters like Canelo and Loma decide to cut less weight because they are skilled enough where they don't have too.

Nah, I believe he struggled to make it, to the point that he would rather move up.
At the age of 22, he was already walking into the ring in the low 170s.

If he struggled even a small bit we couldn't tell. The move to 168 imo was more strategic than anything, and not in the sense of challenge but the type of people he wanted to do business with. He told Andrade hed never fight him and it never happened lol. He wasnt to happy with the charlos for a while either, that guy only got the fight after Canelo signed a pbc deal and Charlo shut his mouth. Benavidez is still waiting for his turn, it'll probably come faster if he could stfu for a while. Its definitely a bit silly, but I'm willing to bet it was alot less of a hassle dealing with the guys he fought at 168 in his mind.

Canelo must just have more muscle than we realize, he looks like a small middleweight but is seemingly weighing as much or more than Charlo. Charlo admitted he was about 170+ in the ring I'm sure Canelo was larger

    That too, I can see.

But I remain firm that he probably struggled to make the weight and just said **** it. He was already a light-heavyweight squeezing down to junior-middleweight in his early 20s. So it makes sense that even 160 eventually became a hassle to make.
