Let's start with a very basic question, shall we..? Who and when Tank Davis ever face other titleholder of his division as a champion ? The answer is NONE & NEVER.
By all accounts, he is. Rolly struggled with Jackson Marinez, got blasted easily by Davis, got outboxed by Ismael Barroso and through divine intervention got the W. Oh, and Cruz just walked through him with ease. Tapales is the much better boxer, and more well rounded.
Because Inoues resume and dominance is far greater. Beating Fulton in a 4th weight class > beating Ryan Garcia with all these clauses.
I guarantee you that Tapales fades out into irrelevance. Can’t say the same for Rolly and his fight ending power. Btw Barroso logged a big win after getting stopped by Rolly.
Either way, Rolly is a bottom rung win for Tank and a comparison can be made to Tapales. If you’re going to compare Tapales to someone who’s actually good, like Martin, you’d be making a fool of yourself.
This thread isn't that crazy. Inoue is overrated, Tank is underrated. Fighting Paul Butler is a complete farce and is worse than any recent Tank opponent I can think of.
This person is just a troll and youre taking the bait. Gervonta does have a case for Top 10 PFP but realistically he could be no higher than...say....7 or so. All of these fighters have done and continue to do more by simply fighting champions and highly ranked opponents: The indisputable Top Three (any order really) - Usyk Crawford Inoue The next tier - Canelo Bivol Beterbiev Fury The prospects entering QUALITY territory - Tank Benavidez Shakur Estrada Rodriguez Haney
The idea of having Inoue above Usyk is truly comical. And Beterbiev obviously has a worse resume than Tank.
