How many years has it been since Joshua defeated a top 10 opponent?

Otto Wallin was at best top 15.

Same story for a 40 year old Chisora level Kubrat Pulev.

Are we counting a 285lb completely obese Andy Ruiz as a top 10 fighter when he walked into the ring? Andy was barely top 10 even at a trim and hungry 260. Being completely honest, the 285lb version is barely top 20 and could have been easily outboxed by many fighters that night.

Back further we have 39 year old Povetkin in 2018. This is the most recent victory over a top 10 fighter. A 39 year old, 6 years ago.

Since then Joshua has racked up 3 devastating losses.

With all that said, can someone explain how this yields a better ranking than Joseph Parker who just took out two top 5 opponents back to back?

So according to TRBR rankings Wallin was ranked 5 (seems too high) and before that it was Pulev at #8 at the time. Then Ruiz was ranked #1 when he beat him.

Not sure what they were all ranked in the ring ratings.

For top ten opponents Joshua has faced (according to TRBR) he's either 8-2 or 9-3 (Ruiz unranked when he beat Joshua, Wlad unranked when Joshua beat him but then was #2 after). Addition losses against Usyk (#1)(#10)

Parker is 2-3, 3-3 or 4-3 Against trbr ranked opponents depending how you want to look at it.

Beating Zhang (#2) and Wilder (unranked at the time due to inactivity but #10 after). His other wins would be Ruiz (unranked again when he beat him but came in at 10 afterwards) and Takam back in 2016 at #8. Losses against Joyce (#5), Joshua (#1) and Whyte(#5)

If AJ fights Dubious there is a 50% chance he gets chinned. There is also a 50% chance Dubious himself gets chinned.

I do think AJ punches sharper...but he's still a big plodding bum who could mentally fold at any second.

Both gas out when they get it put on them properly and they are forced into tactful fights using their brains. But I doubt that kind of fight would occur. Super tentative then BAM one of them will land and it turns into a brawl.

Dubois, who has already been stopped twice, would be the first top 10 win for AJ in over half a decade.

    Really makes you think.

Dubious is dangerous he has been fighting dangerous guys one after another unlike AJ who is being coddled to another free worthless belt...mainly because Eddie knows he will get chinned sooner than later.

AJ has to be real careful. He has the goods but he isn't fighting the calibre he should be. Kabayel, Parker, Zhang, Dubious and even Hurgovic have been getting better fights.

Meanwhile AJ has had Helenius & Nnganou. He will get caught lacking.

Weak division, but to say that Wallin is top 10 makes me really sad for HW boxing.

He never was. At his "peak" i.e. defeating an inactive cruiserweight in Gassiev, he cracked top 15.

Otto Wallin 6 months ago. Wilder on the other hand hasn't beaten one since Ortiz four and a half years ago and Fury hasn't beaten one since Whyte two years ago. Log off.

I think given Dubois' recent run and the fact that we've seen Joshua mentally crack a few times it's an interesting fight. Dubois seems to be hungry and determined, and Joshua still seems like he had part of that beaten out of him by Fat Andy.

Feel free to post your top 20 HW rankings for six months ago.

You cannot reasonably having Otto in the top 10.

I agree with the first part of your post - Fury and Wilder both have more recent victories over top 10 HW's.
