Both of these guys took a challenge, unlike Tank.

Anyone who knows how to score, knows that Loma has been robbed.

And you will be happy that Tank waited many years to fight old Loma ?

Don’t have to make excuses because he is fighting and beating top guys and contenders and champions.

Losing a close fight does not mean robbery.

Frank martin is top 3 LW ?

He is not even fighting top 3 guys and how can he be the best ?

who are the best in any division ? Barrios ? Garcia ? Romero ?

Why he did not beat any real champion at 135 ? 140 ?

he had the real belt only at 130, when Loma was trying to unify.

    I don't necessarily disagree.

Has Tank been conservatively managed? Yes. Has he always made an effort to challenge the very best? No.

Nonetheless, it's not as though his resume is entirely devoid of quality opposition. Frank Martin is a consensus top 10 lightweight. Cruz, Barrios, and Pedraza are also creditable opponents.

While I have no quarrel with the Teo decision, Loma beat Haney and most folks know it, Olu.

Yeah, but that does not make Tank the best and P4P in any division.

Barrios and Garcia are decent - but both were under rehydration clauses...
Diva tactics devalue those wins, surely?!

Cruz a lot of people thought beat him - nobody thinks he won that comfortably.

I'm not saying he's not good... But to be a serious top fighter he needs to beat the best on a level playing field... Not just fringe contenders and guys who are drained.

I’m a big shakur fan and I’m not totally convinced he wins vs Davis at this point. What do you see?

I think that’s a great point about his peers and gets little attention here

I never said it did, my guy.

I mostly on your side in this debate; I just think the "Tank's a cherry picker!" narrative can be overstated.

    All narratives can be overstated.

It's also possible to acknowledge that he looks good, whilst acknowledging that his resume isn't all that great in context.

He avoided the best at 130, 135 and 140. He fought top 10 guys. he is good, but not the best in any division.

    Indeed.

In fact, I believe I've demonstrated exactly that.

    You're preaching to the choir.

I've conceded that he hasn't always sought to fight the very best.

Don't know what else to say.
