And it's a very winnable fight for Ngannou over a named fighter so he can make his return to boxing, i think Wilder will struggle with Ngannou's physical strength and clinch game.

Great news. I wish him well. The man is strong as an ox and driven like few athletes are to excel against all odds, not to mention an extremely quick learner who already in his first fight looked (and performed) better than a man who'd been a professional for over ten years and a former WBC champ. Joshua beat him sure, but people are writing him off based on that one showing, and I think that's a mistake. He smashed up Fury, and with his power and chin I think he'd beat the likes of Wilder too. It's a perfect time to make the fight. If not Wilder then someone like Miller or Bakole. Keep him away from slicksters of course, or power punchers with craft like Zhang.

But I'm excited to see what he can bring. Count me as a fan.

The fact that people think this guy would remain conscious - let alone be competitive- against any in shape boxer above the tomato can level is astounding.

An aging journeyman like Chisora would blow this poser away inside of 4 rounds. Zhang would put this poor dilettante in a coma.

Whyte would be ok. Perhaps on the AJ/Dubois undercard.

I don't think he beats Wilder but i could see him beating some lesser guys. I am a fan too. He recently lost his son so i feel for him. I hope he makes a good comeback.

Chisora or Miller could be fun, because that's closer to his actual level (bearing in mind that they're both over the hill). Can't be assed with Wilder any more - he's utterly gunshy and lost in there now, totally shot mentally, and his performances were just flat out boring last two times out. At least Miller and Chisora would bring it.

That been said, my experience tell me a fighter is never the same after been stretched like AJ did him. When you are out cold that brutally and they need oxygen mask, his chin, punch resistance may very well be gone as well. It's not just the KO, but the type of KO, that do the damage.

There are exceptions. For example, Overeem had been KO'd so many times, he's glass jawed as hell and came back several times after bad KOs to have good runs.

Yeah there is plenty of exception and this ain't a certain rule for sure, but still holds true.

Hmm... Six, maybe seven figures in MMA vs possible eight in boxing?
Not a hard choice to make.

He will likely never return to MMA.

I'm not solely talking about the martial arts. Wonder if Ngannou still remembers his PFL mission ?

Wilder is imho done but i think he has enough left to overcome ngannou,s poor defense and place a right straight .

I,m not sure if wilder still has some nuclear fuel in his right ( it looks that much of it is gone ) - but if yes ngannou will leave the ring on a stretcher .

I can see the Wilder fight making sense for both sides. Not that I'd bother tuning in.

No desire to see him box the other top 20 names you've mentioned. It was really graphic seeing him get folded into a deck chair by AJ.
