Ironic how you nitpick Spence's inactivity heading into the Crawford fight, but totally overlook Postol's age/inactivity heading into the Taylor fight. Or Crawford's inactivity heading into the Spence fight. Spence was a pfp fighter. Nobody Inoue has beaten was on anyone's pfp list. Yes, Postol was better than Fulton at his peak. The guy was undefeated and stopped a prime Mattyhsse. He didn't win one second against Crawford.
Postol fought Taylor less than 2 years after he fought Crawford, and had a fight 9 months before he fought Taylor. He was 32 years old against Crawford, and 34 years old against Taylor. Crawford fought Aanyan 9 months before he fought Spence. Doesn’t exactly come close to 16 months does it? If Inoue had beaten someone like Matthysse you would call them a glass jawed crude brawler. Besides that on top of Matthysse’s style which would take him out of his prime quickly, he had also been in a ton of wars to take him out of his prime even more quickly. Just because he scraped by Ruslan before fighting Postol it doesn’t mean he was prime. Eitherway I don’t rate a ‘prime’ Matthysse half as highly as you seemingly do, and I’m a fan of his. And that’s the only win worth a damn on Postols entire resume other than what? Lundy…? Roman, Figueroa, Leo is a more impressive set of names to anyone with a brain. Again, Fulton is clearly better at boxing than Postol is if you actually watch them fight. And to top it off, Fulton was the larger man against Inoue whereas Crawford was the larger man against Postol.
Tank has one of the worst resume. He lost to Pitbull. He does not deserve to be in the pfp as he has not beaten the top guy in the division that he fought. If he is in the pfp is simply because he an American.
Postol's prime ended on the night he fought Crawford. Leaving your prime on the big stage is extremely common in boxing. He looked like crap in his comeback fight and hit the deck. But you know what? TO THIS DAY*, Postol has either won his fights or been competitive in a short list of loses with the lone exception of losing every second to Crawford. Dude was borderline pfp when Crawford beat him. Postol's second best win was sparking out Aydin (if you knew the sport like me, my boy). *not counting his last fight. He's totally shot now.
Inoue fought w a broken orbital bone and scored KD in 11th that sealed an otherwise even fight. Sucks to suck You are in very small company that believe that...if you even do. Yeah I'll take Gvodyzk and Callum Smith over catchweight rehydration clause RyGa, stopping 39 year old Gamboa w torn ACL for 10 roubds, Hector Luis Garcia whoever that is, class clown Rolly who was on his way to losing to Barrosos, and a gift decision against Pitbull whom Tank wont even his whisper his name. That doesnt even take into account how much Tank ducked Teo, Devin, and Loma and is now ducking Shakur. Quack quack boy
You sound upset. You're now embarrassing yourself by pretending that beating Callum Smith is like moving up to 140 to beat an undefeated champion who happens to be a full sized 147 champ today. And stopping him, no less, unlike in his lone other loss against a 147 champ. My work is done here.
Not for me.. I don’t rate Spence that high at all. If that Spence were the same size as Inoue.. he gonna get worse ass whopping from The Monster than from Crawford.
Everybody rated Postol and Crawford just casually dismantled him. Didn't even seen to break a sweat. This fight was the one where I first thought that Crawford was going to be elite
Same for me. Postol had dominated everyone he fought and stopped Aydin and Matthysse. He was also a 5'11 junior welter.
