So Haney is still unbeaten and still the title holder?

    What do we do with this.

    On one hand he got spanked by an alcoholic non trained fighter.

    On the other that alcoholic non trained fighter just pissed hot and failed to make weight. He's also been banned for a year.

    I'm struggling to process the situation in my head.

    Lopez is still (barely) the top guy in the division, but are we saying Haney is now number 2 and we just pretend none of this ever happened?

    I think Haney needs to fight a big name in his next fight to recapture any semblance of credibility.

    I'm talking Paro, Rodriguez or Carterall.

    Paro definitely since its for unification and they're both DAZN. Teo can fight Pitbull later down the year and the winners unfiy for undisputed.

    The Bobfather actually gave Haney the option to fight for Teo's WBO belt if he vacates the WBC belt.

    Besides, he was always still the champion because Ryan missed weight - the belt wasn't on the line.

    Quite aside from any moral questions about whether Haney is cheating within the rules, there's absolutely no question at all about the fact Ryan was cheating by breaking the rules.


    Who's the best is up for debate... It's probably Teo, he's inconsistent but he's the most proven.

    And regardless of the circumstances, that humiliation will stay with Haney - you don't get beat like a rented mule and forget it.

    He’s a champion in no one’s eye but his own and his Dads.

    You dont take an ass whooping like that, and become champion.

    Juice wasnt the determining factor of an ass whooping like he received. He was getting timed for the same mistake over and over, by his opponents best weapon, the weapon everyone on the face of the earth knows about….

    The belt should be vacated and he should fight the top ranked contender for it…

    EDIT: I forgot he didn’t really lose the belt.

    It’s a hard thing to call, because Garcia did get caught cheating…. But its real hard to look at Haney as a champ….
