So Haney is still unbeaten and still the title holder?

What do we do with this.

On one hand he got spanked by an alcoholic non trained fighter.

On the other that alcoholic non trained fighter just pissed hot and failed to make weight. He's also been banned for a year.

I'm struggling to process the situation in my head.

Lopez is still (barely) the top guy in the division, but are we saying Haney is now number 2 and we just pretend none of this ever happened?

I think Haney needs to fight a big name in his next fight to recapture any semblance of credibility.

I'm talking Paro, Rodriguez or Carterall.

Besides, he was always still the champion because Ryan missed weight - the belt wasn't on the line.

Quite aside from any moral questions about whether Haney is cheating within the rules, there's absolutely no question at all about the fact Ryan was cheating by breaking the rules.


Who's the best is up for debate... It's probably Teo, he's inconsistent but he's the most proven.

And regardless of the circumstances, that humiliation will stay with Haney - you don't get beat like a rented mule and forget it.
