    He lost and was nearly stopped (would have been a stoppage by any competent ref). So he can lie to himself all he wants. It won't change reality.

    Very delusional.
    But we've all seen deluded boxers before.
    In some cases being a bit deluded helps them prepare and fight.
    But at this stage of Fury's career and under these circumstances, it's not a good sign.

    I am getting Salido vs Lopez II vibes here. Lopez was super tentative in the early going of the rematch until he scored that brilliant knockdown. But Salido quickly got back into the fight and grinded Lopez down.

    Yep. Many examples of fighters going into puzzling tailspin after losing and becoming delusional. Two things that are true in boxing - you never know what kind of actual fighter someone is until you see how they rebound from either losing or getting knocked out. Some are able to learn from it and come back better and some crumble mentally and can’t handle it and their career is derailed.
