You know @billy nelson is on this forum, why not ask him the question with a bit of respect and you might get a respectful reply.

I didn’t mean any disrespect. It’s just that he’s always up Fury and the big boxing channels are calling him out on it so what do people here think?

I think Billy is looking for work, and to get onboard that Fury gravy train.

Let’s face it no one knows how old Bakole is and it’s clear he doesn’t have the financial backing behind him to get onto the big money circuit.

So getting himself onto the Fury express gravy train might be his best bet of a comfortable life.

have you seen his interviews and how up fury he is? Bunch of sensitive susans on here. If someone is liked by the forum they get away with anything if it was Sam jones saying same thing he would be slated 100% at least YouTubers and commenters call billy Nelson out. Looks to me like he’s leaving door open to get in gravy train somehow whether direct or indirectly through fury somehow. Zero objectivity at least hatman strikes back consistently calls billy out on it. It was him that calls him silly billy

Maybe Big John Fury is looking for a straight talking trainer to help his son improve his chances in the Usyk rematch.

I’ve never been a Billy Nelson fan myself, but my mate Ashley Theophane says he was always very welcoming and hospitable when he went up to Scotland for sparring at his gym. Stayed at his house and Mrs Nelson cooked for him etc.

In regards to Fury, he probably wouldn’t mind a slice of that training team as it would be a big payday. Trainers don’t make much and not consistently either. Possibly why he trained the Mountain as it was on ppv and maybe better than most single fights would pay.

see why can’t people respond like this guy? He wasn’t rude or going off his head. I have to say Sonny I like Billy and that’s why I’m up to date in what he says. I watch his YouTube interviews. He’s a funny guy and quite blunt. But my god is he up fury. I’ve also heard he’s hospitable and his wife good with the boxers… but I’ll still call him silly billy as a harmless joke about him being a fury metaphorical arse licker. What is it about fury that makes people like that? It was like that with Joshua …. Money!

Billy is a good genuine guy, been at his gym loads for sparring and have also been invited to watch the boxing at his house when we are travelling to Motherwell for National Championships, on the Fury thing I know Billy has spent time with his uncle Peter and possibly at the same time as Tyson was there to so its possible there is a connection there from that, is money a factor by trying to become part of his team? Probably but he's in the sport to make a £ and there is no bigger name right now that can deliver a decent bit of cash if you end up helping him out.

Ngl I never even noticed it said Belly Nelson until i was reading through the posts and it was pointed out xD

Both those heavyweights have made so much money, especially in Saudi it’s crazy and they are British so fair play to them.

Nelson did a good job with Ricky Burns and certainly got the best out of him, however I am surprised he has never had Bakole in a big domestic fight especially as the heavies are so marketable. Maybe he is just that hard to match because he’s so tough in sparring. He is clearly in the who needs him club. That could be a reason.

Is Billy responsible for making his fights? Genuine question, is Billy his manager as well as trainer?

I think he’s definitely avoided and it would be good to see him in with some of the top guys. He lost to hunter and looked terrible against kuzmin but seems to have improved. The Anderson fight is brill

you’re sitting here slating me and you don’t know Nelson is his manager? Are you actually having a laugh? By the way Alex Ferguson was the manager of Man Utd in case you didn’t know that del

It’s a fair point bud and maybe I am being a bit unfair to Nelson. I met Angelo Dundee in Vegas at the DeLaHoya Pac-Man fight and he said he would get involved in this as the bigger the fights, the more he made himself so maybe I’m coming from that direction.

I remember Brendan Ingle would get involved in all his boxers fights, but I think he was their manager as well as trainer.

On a positive note Bakole has a fairly high profileish fight coming up next so that’s something.
